This matches a favorite tablecloth I own. I want to paint for my kitchen.

My 22th. Because it rained all morning ( and afternoon too) I couldn't work in my vegatable garden. Lucky me : I could spend the whole morning watching and painting along. It was again a very nice practice and I can feel a little more comfortable being not so perfect. I still have a long way to go but watching you and sometimes painting along bit by bit will change my attitude. Thanks again and I am looking forward to choose and watch another video. I liked your relaxed voice , it even distracted me for a while from my titinus😊wim

Sorry to hear you have tinnitus, that’s a very bad thing, I have family who suffer with it greatly, so sorry about yours. Thanks for supporting our channel Wim, you’re great!

My 21th. It is raining the whole day so it is very nice to get some sunshine watching this video. I planned to watch once the whole video and then watch it again painting along. I got interrupted and let the video rol on. So I have to watch again to get a good overview so that I am a bit prepared when actual painting. I miss some yellows but the wish to paint is bigger then waiting for the transparent yellow. And I will approach it as a practice. Thanks for bringing sunshine. Have a nice day Wim

Ha ha! Using Olive Green to paint Lemons yellow is too much for my brain! So I HAVE to do olives now, such a good idea!

Such a lovely sunny painting, Diane! I enjoyed the videos that preceded this one, too, as you helped us explore the yellows and practise painting individual lemons, in preparation.

The colours, the motif... The whole picture, not only a feast for the eyes, but a feast for the senses. I feel the lemons under my fingers and I taste the flavour, while my whole face contorts because the lemon is so sour 😍😍😆😆😆

Hi! Diane😊 I truly love your channel. I have downloaded every video I have found of yours- so informative!! You paint beautifully. My other favorite artist that I download is Paul Clark. I’ve watched all the other “popular” artists but I find their art pretty boring and I get tired… very quickly… listening to them continuously refer to becoming a patreon and how little $$ they have. You DO NOT do that! You tell us what’s pricey and you are grateful to your viewers.
@DianeAntoneStudio3 жыл бұрын
Hi Karen, thanks so much for your helpful comments, I really appreciate your input. Paul Clark comes from the exact same part of England as me, in fact I went to university in his home town. I don't know him personally though. His art is very different to mine, and he seems to concentrate on complex landscapes which lots of people really love. Luckily for me I don't need to do KZbin or Patreon for the money, and I'm making my videos literally to try to help people get over the pandemic and to have a beautiful watecolor experience. Thank you again for your message, and happy painting!

Hello Diane, I have just been scrolling down your videos and discovered this beautiful painting. I saved it to my playlist to come back later and follow your tutorial for myself. I am adding lemons to my list of favorite painting subjects. I find yellow lemons to be very warm and cheerful. I plan on adding my version of this painting to my wall gallery. Do you decorate your home with your art? I hope so. So, thank you very much for this tutorial.

I just love your painting! I'm new to this and wonder how do you decide where the light comes from and does it vary between different paintings?
@DianeAntoneStudio Жыл бұрын
You decide! Just pick on side or the other of the subject and make it consistent for all your lights and shadows x
