Oooooh - I love that - "fill the world with peace!" The music, listening to your voice, the rain I could hear, I think and painting this simple little robin is definitely a recipe for a peaceful hour for me! I'm NOT trying to get a jump on Christmas.............I just really liked the look of the bird........I will try the Christmas tree a little later in the year! And yes - hygge! I've heard that strangely pronounced word before - feeling cozy and content with simple things!

Thanks Tracy, yes, it's too early for Christmas for me, too! In the middle of a heatwave and drought it is the last thing on my mind! So glad you enjoyed the robin - he was very popular last year and I hope he'll make a reappearance this Christmas!!

Diane, I honestly can't get enough of your channel, paintings and teaching techniques! I look forward to them so much. These paintings are charming and the robin is the sweetest! I loved watching you paint the tiny pine cone and replayed it a few times. Pine cones were always a struggle for me and now I think I've mastered the art thanks to your tutorials. Oh, and that fun little whimsical Christmas tree is an added bonus...perfect for a card! Don't you just love that light board! It's such a time saver when I want to recreate one of my drawings. Thank you Diane and Tamsin for these lovely tutorials.

Dear Diane, you really can't go wrong with choosing a robin , I love, love , love the scandi style . These would make wonderful little framed presents. So sweet. I admire your straight talking honesty about painting in detail, as sometimes I don't feel good enough but that is no disrespect to any other tutor , as when my brush hits that paper I just let it go and have a wonderful time with you 😊 Thanks for showing us all your fabulous techniques .

I struggled with opening tubes where the paint seemed dried like glue. Then someone gave me the tip to put a little square of cling film/plastic wrap between the cap and the tube and it works like a charm! No more stuck tubes and hot water redemption.

If it weren’t for wide rubber bands, I couldn’t open most tubes. They make great grabbers for older fingers! I do enjoy your videos and especially your robins. Thank you so much for your channel. Charlotte from Texas.
@DianeAntoneStudio2 жыл бұрын
That’s a very good idea Charlotte. I will look out some rubber bands - I’m sure I’ve got some somewhere - and keep them handy. I usually end up using the corner of a sweater to get them open which is not a very good idea 😔

I so love this!💕… As usual watching you makes my day! Thank you, I do have a question Do you ever use liquid watercolor paint?, It looks very bright and fun, like ink, but Vam not sure how to find out more about it, like how long it lasts light fast wise, though I only make cards, so as long as it lasts a little while, I’m good. LOVED that tree!, so striking!👍
@DianeAntoneStudio3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Kathy! So glad you enjoyed it! I have to admit I haven't ever used liquid watercolor paint. Can you tell me what brand you are considering buying? I'll try to get hold of some to try it out.
