That paint job is amazing. This is what 3d printing is all about, love the mixed media approach. I wish more people would do it this way..

Thank you. At some point other prop makers will discover the magic of Cheetah filament!

Well done! Thanks for taking the time to make this video. The amount of work that went into the gauntlets was already so much and then you went and took the time to make the video! you are an asset to the 3D printer community, KZbin and DIY crafters. Just fantastic! PS we love the idea of using the 3D printer pen for mending pieces together. Be blessed in all you put your hand to ~ Frederick & Jennifer

I know they make flex agents for automotive paints (rubber bumpers everywhere) which might help a little bit but I'm not sure how it would react with the paint you are using.

They do look wicked. I'm starting to wonder if it is less work to make them out of steel.🤔
@fbi8056 жыл бұрын
Daniel Kruger actually this is less work than steel
@LindyDesignLab6 жыл бұрын
I think it's just that anything with 70 individually finished parts takes a while, whatever the material! :P But the finished pair, including gloves, weighs only about 500 grams, so that's a plus vs. steel.

Thomas Delgado I was mostly kidding.😊

Lindy Design Lab Steel would definitely be much heavier. Your gauntlets will move much more realisticly than steel would, on your skillful, petite hands. Once again that is a tremendous amount of work. 😊

Very, very cool. Unfortunately I have roughly about a 0.0000000000000001% chance of ever doing this, though I (insert infinity symbol)% want to. It'd be great if you could just order these & stuff like them from somewhere.

Lumen KingOfScarves Planning to do an improved version of the finished gauntlets for my shop once the new Automail is finished, so that will be an option in future :)

nicely done... but I must say I find it annoying when the whole point of a 'educational' youtube video is to sell crap....
