Hmm, I prefer the 1 step method for painting anything world eaters. 1) dip your primed mini in a tub of blood for the blood god technical paint. See it's even quicker than the slap chop method so many people love

BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! That model turned out clean! The new Berzerkers make me so happy. They took a classic kit and really just brought it into the 21st century. Berzerkers will no longer look out of place next to the other Chaos Marines and that's a great thing. Personally I'd have gone for Khorne Red as a base colour. I always imagined the World Eaters being a bit darker in tone and with Khorne literally being in the name I can't not use it.

I feel like people dont realise that the new nuln oil formula is way better for shading metallics than agrax, reikland or seraphim, honestly try it! that being said great tutorial

This looks like it would work well for Age of Sigmar Blood Warriors, Khorne themed Chaos Warriors / Knights (well at least the rider and horse armor), and some of the Khorne foot heroes

I run a squad of blood warriors as Khorne berserkers for 40k and it adds variety really well instead of using the same models. Seeing a mix of sigmar, new and old berserkers really looks like a real world eaters warband where they’re not uniform at all. Adding power packs to sigmar models also makes it look better too

Question, if spraying red from a can, I will likely need to do a brush on coat regardless to catch any missed areas and get a smoother coat?

It depends on how well you cover with the can - most of the time, I don't need to go back in with a thin coat. If the colour you use is slightly different to the pot version, you will need to do a thin layer on top to homogenise the colours - this is especially true with black primer/paint

I used Mephiston Red Spray but my models are way more dark in the red then your model. What am I doing wrong?

I find putting it on directly over plastic really dulls it - I spray over a black primer as this makes it more vibrant

Very strange - althpigh not unheard of between different batches of paints etc You could try painting a quick, thin layer of mephiston red over the prime to try and give it a bit more oomph

I use Rosemary and Co series 33 - there is a link in the description for them :) The trick to getting the point is to twost the brush backwards as you pull it out of the paint

Brother I have a request. If you plan to paint Arbites will you demo a more blue scheme than black? Im nervous about painting black armor. Most ways ive tried end up not working out to well so my solution? Just I dont do it lol Will you consider painting them out with the fang possibly? Or maybe black with a fang glaze? Something to make that black armor look super interesting.

I just finished my first two world eaters following this direction. I love how they turned out. Thanks for such a great tutorial. Question, is there a reason you do the black so late in the flow? It seems like maybe doing it before the trim might make it easier, no?

Thanks! For this particular model it was personal preference - but you can certainly do it earlier on if you would rather!

I personally stop at wild rider red, dragon fire is a bit to orange for me. Other than that looks good.

Great video as always! Helped me a lot Is the dark aluminium paint you use the metal colour air dark aluminium from vallejo? I tried it if it is but it’s so watery it spreads out over the model like a mineral spirit wash, do you thicken it at all? In your video the coverage looks nuts but mine doesn’t work the same

Yeah that's the one - the only thing I can say is shake it within an inch of its life, and make sure not to have too much on your brush. Also always use it on a plastic palette as opposed to a wey palette

how tricky is it to paint models assembled?? For example, where the shoulder pad meets the helmet or areas that are hidden under weapons etc, the paint brush maneuvering gotta be not fun. :O

I find it fairly straightforward, and also the reason I paint in the order that I do - so that any mistakes are easy to correct
