This video is a beautiful illustration of the differences between engineers and techs. He may know what he’s talking about but he’s clearly never done this before on a professional level.

The build coat is your paint job, so get it corrected here and the paint will be flawless. P.S. Never discount the “Restoration” folks. They may not but $3k a month but $600 X 38,000 resto-shops is more. I am sure someone has a calculator and can use it. They may use “Dura-Blocks” but purchase “Trizac Paper”. Do you want to loose those sales? I didn’t think so!

I hate people that armchair criticism but I'm going to do it I guess. I've been in the game 25 years and I knew when he was masking the back of that fender for primer that it was way too close to that and feather edge. He broke through. Basically with his first swipe of sandpaper that's going to swell like a mthrfkrwhen it's painted. I appreciate the work that goes into the videos but, youngsters get into the game. Need to know the right way to do things and this was okay but that mask job was all wrong.
