Tip: Stick the masking tape to some kind of fabric before sticking it to the paper. It will make it less sticky and will be easier to remove at the end without ruining the paper.

Hi, I am a fan of your works, and I am very curious about what best materials an artist should have in doing art? I am still a beginner and I wanted to know what materials I should buy or have to make my artwork nice, like what pens and paintbrushes should I use. By the way, you do inspire me to start painting and I am thankful for your videos because it feels like therapy to me watching them.❤

I would suggest to get a sketchbook for mixed media (this way you would be able to practice with pencils, colored pencils, ink, paint and all mediums) and then decide if you want to start with grafite pencils or colored ones, markers or paint (watercolors, gouache, oil paint is normaly harder to use, acrilic paint is better) but I would suggest starting with grafite pencils, just get some HB 2B 4B 6B 8B (if you want, you can use less), a marker for contourn, and maybe some prismacolor pencils. Washi tape is also a good thing to have and it will give a cleaner result! Try it and watch other artists to see what they use and learn so you can eventually move into gouache or whatever you like, I personally don't find gouache hard to use but I don't know your level.. there are some videos about art supllies recommendations. And remember everything takes time. Also sorry for my english I'm actually spanish haha but I hope I helped!!! Good luck!

If you were asking for gouache I use himi jelly gouache, it comes with some brushes but they are not that good so I would eventually get better ones. There are lots of videos about himi jelly gouache if you want to check them before buying anything :)

pick a medium you are interested in learning, research it, and buy beginner materials for learning that particular medium. Plenty of videos on KZbin. Don't buy a shit ton of expensive art supplies for various things all at once, its best to focus on developing skills slowly first than acquiring fancy supplies as your skills progress and you are looking to do more advanced things.
