I haven't painted WC for almost 20 years! But I am back at it and your tutorials are great for revisiting basic technics, supplies and colour mixing. The only negative comment I have specifically about this tutorial is you need to let us know earlier in the video that we need to stay in the upper portion of the paper and not after you have started painting. Still watching your videos and looking forward to new ones on your channel😄💕

What did you tape your paper to? Is that coroplast?
@TheWittyGrittyPaperCo7 жыл бұрын
Hi there! Yes, it is coroplast! I had it made for me at my local sign shop in my preferred size. :) Hope that helps and thank you so much for watching! Best, Meredith

how to stretch paper?
@TheWittyGrittyPaperCo9 жыл бұрын
+Kauthar Azman Hi there! Stretching watercolor paper is basically soaking the paper in water for a few minutes and then taking it out and securing it to a board with either staples or gummed artist's tape. This reduces buckling when you're painting on it because the fibers of the paper have already been opened up by the water bath and stay looser when paint is laid down. I hope to have a video about how to do this process and its pros and cons in the future, but if you just type "how to stretch watercolor paper" in the youtube search bar there'll be lots of demonstrations. Hope that helps, and thank you so much for watching! :) Best, Meredith

Do you work with someone else for the WittyGrittyPaperCo? If so, where are they? Do you have a company? What does it do?

+BookishThoughts Hi there! My mother & I co-founded The Witty Gritty Paper Co. about a year ago and we design cute & clever greeting cards, art prints, and all sorts of paper & stationery hoopla. I'm lead designer for the business, using fine watercolors & illustration inks to create the product designs. We sell our goods online and have them stocked in shops as well. Our cozy little studio is in Buffalo, NY, but we don't have any brick & mortar location yet. If you'd like to see some of our things here is the link to our website: thewittygrittypaperco.com And you can follow my adventures more closely on Instagram: instagram.com/thewittygrittypaperco/ Hope that answers your question and thank you so very much for asking!! :) Happy painting! :) Best, Meredith
