Lovely bags 🤩 I prefer dyed over painted as well. They wear so much better. I’ve had bags where the color scraped off. But dye is all the way through and I love it 😍 watching your videos have helped me so much! I love my Crescent bag too! Had to make myself switch last week and now I’m carrying the 9966. Hi friend! If the bag is just beat up you could dunk it and it will come out like new again. Depending on what bag, most can be washed in soapy water and restored. If you want to dye it there's many dyes out there to choose from, you can even make your own color by mixing. Hope this helps! Have a wonderful day and stay safe 🌹

I recently purchased a bag on the pre-loved market and I believe it has been painted. You can see the paint starting to flake off in spots. Will the paint ruin the surface and also what is the best way to remove it? Thanks in advance.

Hi friend! Is there any way you can return the bag? Acetone will strip a bag but it will also dry out a bag if you don't use moisturizer. If you cannot return the bag and it's something you really want, I would strip it and dye it. Then using a good Moisturizer like Apple Care it should be fine. Hi friend! YES absolutely LOVE the 9338 and still my favorite 😄 yes the bag in video is a Devon bag and I was told the color is taupe but I think it looks more like putty. Hi friend! The vintage Coach bags were not painted, people buying them today mostly resellers will paint them and resell them. Coach does paint bags today because the leather is not aniline and certainly not the same glove tanned as they claim. There's a big difference in the leather from back then and now. It looks more like a charcoal color bag than a black bag. I want dye it with black dye. Can I just put black dye on the bag or do I still have to scrape it down with acetone first? Hi friend! The bag might not be faded, that could be the true color charcoal. I have dyed bags without using acetone but the acetone open up the pores so the bag receives the dye better. Hope you're doing well and staying safe 🌹 have a wonderful day!

Hi friend! That depends on if you want to keep the leather close to original or coat it with something that will rot it over time. I use Apple Care conditioner because it has no oils, waxes and silicone etc. Have you ever seen a vintage Coach bag with a hole in the corner? That's from having heavy use of a oil or wax over time. Vintage Coach bags are Aniline leather and not supposed to be shiny and oiled, they're super mat and have little to no shine. It's hard to find a bag like that today because over the years many have used such products and if you do find one in it's original state you will pay a pretty penny for it. But, I was watching other people on KZbin rehab bags & they used black rock for especially dry corners so i thought I'd ask for your opinion. They also use leather cpr, which doesn't have oil or petroleum but I don't know if it has any wax. It says it has natural lanolin... 🤔🤔 have you used leather cpr?
