Isn't there some kind of safety device that prevents the gun firing at a certain angle? I remember reading something like that but cant find it anymore.

There is, but only for the British light mortar. It is not needed for heavier ordnance realistically.

Even for the light morter I'm pretty sure it's range was further than shown at that angle, if still safe the propulsion could be increased to get possibly 30 or so more meters of range outa dat bad boy so it can be used further from the enemy if your team has good communication and flare rounds could be designed so you or your team can see round where the shots will land

I'm afraid not. How should it work for airsoft and how would you like to resolve safety concerns when whole-face mask are not common in airsoft?

@@searpaintball I’ve seen Airsoft matches where armored vehicles are used. You could use them again vehicles and say after 2-3 shells that vehicles is disabled.

@@mrperkinsthehusky I can certainly imagine this scenario. But what if thare is any infantry around or on the vehicles? Without paintball-grade masks our projectiles are not safe to impact unprotected face.

@@mrperkinsthehusky It is about accidents mostly. Someone could happen to be around those vehicles at the wrong time. Moreover, realistically vehicles need to be supported by infantry. I like airsoft but until full-face paintball-grade masks are standard on at least some games, these heavy weapons are no go there :/

Hi Ivan. This video was staged, it was not a real battle. The mortar team was about 90 meters from the AT gun. In the real game, they would try to shoot from 100+ m distance and from behind some concealment/cover. You are right that our Pak would make a quick process with such a careless mortar team :)
