battlefieldwaffles it's mostly at milsims that you'll find tanks, although some fields may have one or two. Novritsch went to one milsim where Russian military drove tanks, check him out if you haven't already

Airsoft and speedball should not even be compared. They are way to different airsoft is simulating military combat where as speedball in particular is just speedball. They both require two completely different skill sets. If you put 3v3 airsofters and speedballers on a tournament field with paintball guns the ballers will most likely win. If you switch that around now with airsoft guns in the woods the airsofters will win. I won't even get into milsim paintball because i'm not familiar with it.

You have hop-up on airsoft guns which is advantage but even disadvantage in same moment becuase it's increasing distance, but it makes bullet behavior weird and badly predictable. With heavier PB bullet you have to aim more up on longer distance, but you also know it really flies that way.

I play and have fun in both Sports. The only reason I stopped playing paintball and moved mainly to airsoft is because for one day o paintball you pay roughly $60 for balls to last 4 hours of the day. In airsoft I can buy enough bbs to last for 12 hours of constant play for only $16..

Well the ammo you spend depends on your shooting skills.If you are an 'inaccurate spray and hope you hit the target type of guy' then you will lose a huge number of BBs/paintballs but if you are a 'accurate marksman' then you will be able to save ammo for like 6 hours.

there is actually a lot of variety in guns, when it comes to paintball. the paintball guns you see on screen are just one of the few guns in the paintball world. also, i see lots of people in militarized clothing to blend with the wooded field. paintball is much more fun (from experience). you get the adrenaline rush from paintball which makes it more realistic.

+Hobo Sexual ummm... yeah and? all good if you want to go play soldier but that isn't exactly the reason most play, there are many people (myself included) that believe paintball guns look friggin sweet even when they aren't milsim guns and for that fact they are much more original than guns that are carbon copies of something that already exists and also if you want to shoot guns that look real, just go to your local range pay the $30 for the day and go wild with all your fantasies. For the sportsmanship side of things paintball is a much more mature community, mainly for the fact that if you get hit it's extremely hard to argue the point when you have fresh paint splattered on you, compared to airsoft where people not calling hit is the biggest plague going around. In my opinion if you want to play a game that allows you to try/utilize military tactics without the chance of people cheating by not calling HIT when they cop a clean shot, go paintball, not only can you choose to go skirmish/woodsball paintball where the fields are large and usually open air, also you have a choice of playing different scenarious Ie; siege, attack and defend, CTF kill the VIP and a few others. all depends on preference but honestly Airsoft players need to take a step back and realize if they enjoy that shit so much... you know dressing up in military gear doing military drills, fighting in milsim scenarious like wounded soldier retrievals, you might aswell join the fucking military you dolts... i mean really that would be like me saying for fun on my weekends i hire a van that looks like an ice-cream truck has fake plastic ice-creams that act just like real ice-creams and i enjoy trying to sell these ice-creams to my mates for enjoyment while they play the role of customer...

I would just like to point out that paintball is an actual sport, and has competitions. And there are tons of realistic paintball areas! They are specifically called different types of paintball, and have you ever heard of Living Legends? Very realistic! Oh and the paint doesn't hurt plants or whatever in woods, it is photodegradable.

airsoft is, in fact, a sport. if u are refering to speedball, the equivalent is speedsoft. just less cheesy. and paintball is only made out to be a sport more so than paintball is because there is no way in hell to cheat. therefore it is fair. just like every other sport. airsoft isn't considered a sport because people can cheat, therefore are unsportsmanlike, and make the game no longer a sport.

I agree. Paintball and airsoft are both nice fun, but it's also very different. People who think airsoft is more realistic only because guns look more realistic don't know anything about paintball. Airsoft is like shooting in video game while in PB you have to count with ballistic curve and your bullets are not influenced by hop-up which is why AS players can't hit anything with something more realistic and I don't mean realistic by how it looks. I very like that satisfiyng feeling when you have to aim 10m above something to hit it on long distance and you hit it, that's something you can't experience in airsoft. BTW I am not player of AS nor PB, I just like that weapons for fun.

+Luke wontsay airsoft is better for no pain, whether its actual pain or the pain of cleaning up. If you want to be absolutely sure the are not cheaters, paintball is the way to go. And if you want realism its airsoft but if you want quick small rounds ( for more games and if your in a rush, you can have just as much fun) paintball.

all sound great in this comparison except 2 big mistakes...4:32 big error....never in my life have I played paint ball in those silly looking uniforms I don't like speed arenas I prefer milsim paintball...there is also paintball milsim where we all go to play in nice uniforms just like airsoft...second mistake is location to play actually airsoft weapons in majority of countries are not consider weapons so you can actually transport them without any problems...you can play in the woods anywhere in a farm, there are compounds private properties etc also there are spacial paintball filled with powder or paint totally biodegradable.. in short there is no place you can play airsoft that you can't play paintball. both are good but at the end all comes down to 1) do you prefer the realistic gun like in airsoft? or 2) do you prefer the fear of getting hit and the sound created and pain and actual visual of a hit that you get like in paintball. it all comes down to taste.

This is a old video so ill but you some slack. However you did not mention magfed guns that look realistic or woodsball. I play woodsball, I use camo and and some military gear. The gun I use looks realistic because its magfed. So yeah not mentioning woodsball or magfed markers was a big flaw. The other major flaw is how you said that paintball is not played in the woods because it is illegal/not eco friendly. Paintballs are eco friendly and to be honest if you really want to play in the woods its fine, as long as no ones around. Other than that it was a good video. Is also like to say for anyone reading this comment im not trying to defend my sport, I equally like airsoft and paintball. I am just pointing out some key facts that could have changed how people view the comparisons of these truly amazing sports.

Just saying your talk about paintball fields against airsoft fields is completely invalid, their are indoor cqb paintball fields, and you cant say bigger "maps" because every field is different, It's not like a walmart, every field is unique, so what you were saying about the fields is inacurate. I've played both airsoft and paintball, But I highly prefer paintball, I have a milsig m17 cqc, its a magfed marker that can be compared to smg. So, like a normal grenade, they have a small time to been thrown and then explode. So yeap, pull the ring, throw away, wait for people saying "hit". This is pretty basic. Take a physics class please. Secondly look at Milsig, Tacamo and Honor Core. Then search in youtube for mag-fed paintball. Finally search first strike rounds or FSR. Airsoft is a toy compared to paintball especially when compared to mag-fed play. 100 round magazines, no sound profile and completely unrealistic rates of fire, not only that but bb's don't have the same immersion factor. When bbs hit what ever you're covered behind it's not intimidating. When they zip past your head you're not afraid of them, there isn't the instinct to duct or flinch. Hearing a FSR whistle past puts you in your bunker and even hearing paintballs whip through the air or hammer your bunker is intimidating. Plus the magazine sizes are closer to real life though a few rounds short (which is kind of frustrating at this point). Paintball is more expensive though, it's not a kids game. Now I will say airsoft is a great indoor alternative, they carry drastically less energy so with proper protection you can play extreme CQB with no issue but the big thing it's cleaner. Indoor paintball is plagued by the mess. But toe to toe if you want immersion and feel its mag-fed paintball all the way.

Now I stopped playing airsoft simply for the fact that 1 most the people I played with were assholes and 2 shooting plastic bb's didn't give me an adrenalin rush because I didn't even care wether or not I got hit. Now what you said about clothing, that has nothing to do with either if them that depends on who's playing and what THEY decided to wear. By the way the paint isn't harmful to the environment it's biodegradable and those plastic bb's hurt the ecosystem everytime you shoot them all over the forests. Plus there is sooo much more cheating in Airsoft thn in paintball. That thing you said about accuracy you do realize if you shoot a paintball gun it will be more accurate at range than a bb. Bb's will drastically drift left and right and up and down. Sometimes you can't even tell where your bb's will go next, while with paintball all you have to worry about is bullet drop. Now paintball I'm not gonna lie hoppers are a pain in the ass sometimes. But, they do help out ALOT. Those magazine fed markers are seen all over the place now and they're not uncommon plus they cost just as much as a paintball gun. I thing the only thing Airsoft has going for it is you don't have to wear something over your mouth. Even so it's still not the best idea. I enjoyed your video, I started playing paintball 20 years ago and love it but a lot of my students play airsoft. while I do enjoy playing airsoft, paintball will always be my go to. I will say that woods ball is a thing in paintball and where I live is perfectly legal. The paint does leave more of mess initially but the paint is water soluble and washes away with the first good rain. I have played in many wooded areas and one currently can see no evidence of paintball ever being played there. The same goes for my clothing just throw it in the washing machine and no more paint.

You can make the sports really similar if you want to. Some paintball guns look like real guns and uses a mag instead of the hopper. Also a lot of mag fed guns can use a type of round called first strike witch are more accurate. A diffrent type of paintball is RAM which mean real action marker and is just like the military
