On another video of a large horse breeding ranch they showed the young foals being branded. They were driven into a shute - one at a time - and branded. The foals didn't even flinch - looked absolutely relaxed, and stress free. It took much less time to get it done, and certainly less stress on the animal than being roped, and then dragged across a dusty pen and, basically, hog tied ! Wondering why calves aren't branded the same way ? Not a criticism - just an observation of the differences, and a question about it !
