Its all in your head, your not an artist. Your living in a fantasy world created by the mainstream and KZbin. All your paintings are for kids. You have a choice to make, you can recieve some proper art education or continue paintng like a child. If this is the path your taking, stick to Acrylic paint its cheaper and dries faster. Its getting really annoying seeing this crap recommended to me on KZbin, whist i am trying to search for actual artists. KZbin used to be a platform of decent information, not its all censoring and pumping garbage into the world.

As an artist, I always start off with an idea in my head, start to Paint, and it never ends up how I pictured it in my brain. There’s never really a concept to begin with, but as I painted and finish it, the concept just reveals itself. Love your channel, and love your honesty 😊
@revawiseman75178 ай бұрын
To be honest, I hate the painting and keep going until I love it. But what you said about knowing when to finish it. So true if you keep going you’ll end up ruining it, or hating it again and you don’t want to finish it.bloody hell. Love from Australia.

I often start painting with just a hint of an idea. Trust me you can repaint the same canvas many times & still end up with something beautiful. I don't do this all the time...I usually start with a thumbnail. Then Black and white comp. Then a color comp & maybe a final comp...with this process it usually flows quite smoothly.

I got CHILLS…it looks like a Chinese calligraphy painting come alive. It genuinely looks like the painting is moving within the frame that you created with the dragon’s bodies. Including the less rendered body of the dragon on the side is what gives it this sense of reanimating from 2d to 3d. And I love the blend of East Asian and Western influences. For example, asiatic dragons are usually more serpentine and western dragons look more like giant dinosaurs with wings. Including that was such a nice touch. And the music at the end 🙆 Epic.

My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE painting! It is absolute PERFECTION! When I get to nearing the end of a painting I have to first, walk away. Leave it be for about a week or so. Turn the painting to the wall if you need to continue working, but a break is a good idea. After that, you WILL come back to it with fresh eyes. You may immediately see what needs to be done to finally sign the painting. Other times, you may have to try different views of the painting in order to see if something needs correcting (hue, value, chroma). After ALL THAT, comes my "WTF?" test. If you've done everything you needed to do, and you're still uncertain whether it's done, take a critical eye across your entire painting, and ask yourself if at any place you think "WTF?" I've found this to be rather effective, because it takes the emotion out of it. As we know, it's at this *fiddly* point where overworking might very well ruin it. FINALLY, after everything is DONE, sign it, put the brush down, and slowly back away. WELL DONE, Alpay!👏👏👏👏👏

Thanks for pointing out that you don't need some huge emotional concept to produce a great painting. Some KZbin artists just get sooo caught up in documenting their personal angsty art journey that even though they are great painters, I've ended up losing interest in their channels. It was nice to hear the message to just take an idea and see where it goes. I haven't painted in years, but really wanted to get back to it. However, I just had some fun little ideas without deep symbolism - So I figured it wasn't worthwhile and put off starting them. I'm going to try to get some done this year. Just to see where it goes.

haha! Exactly 0:38 People forget...art serves as a tool for relaxation, creativity and just being passionate about creating something. Too many people 'imagine' there is always a hidden meaning or something behind it. A lot of my digital art pieces are just something I wanted to do and took all of a minute to decide on- the initial idea. As I work, the idea can take a different form as I cannot visualize, but usually I don't like thinking about some big piece of information behind a piece. I like your work. Well done.

4:58 "I was talking more than I was painting, so I was surprised I got so much done" ......it is quite the interesting experience of drawing while not consciously paying attention to what you're drawing, either thinking about something else entirely, or talking to someone .....and funny enough, your hand and brain are still guided by an artistic instinct. It's quite fascinating.

the topic of the video really hits home for me because something in the backrooms of my brain wants to be an artist who makes "actual artwork" (with like... intent, meaning, beautiful to look at).... and then i end up painting a seagull who's beak is stuck through a slice of bread for no reason other than "haha, silly" in the end though, the stuff that i paint, no matter how silly, still holds a part of me, my personality, what i find "worth painting".

Makes sense what you say about creating a painting that is absolutely cohesive by going back and forth. I'm also an artist and have painted with oils also. I love painting with oils! The smooth creaminess is so satisfying! Unfortunately I just don't feel like I did when I was younger and all I did was go to school and come home and draw or paint. Thinking about adult responsbilities has really dampened my confidence as a painter because I always think I don't have enough time (still learning techniques) and I know that it takes alot of time to create something worth sharing. The longest I've spent so far on a painting is 30 hours and a drawing 25 hours. haha Though, a large portion of it is just starting. Not overthinking. Just starting and seeing where it goes! The process is fun and relaxing. The end result is satisfying, true, but we gotta also focus on the fun that the process gives us.👍 lol Sorry for rambling. I guess I just wanted to inspire some fellow artists that may have needed to hear this today.🌟🩵 Love your process and the painting is amazing! The idea coming from it being the year of the dragon is actually pretty cool.😄
