Hi Ryan, I watch from Germany. You taught me a lot, thanks therefore! I did this painting in oil, and friends say it looks almost like a photo. Well I'm an bit proud. Because I used to live in Canada for 5 and a half years, I understand english pretty good, but I wonder, that there are just an few german "teachers" on YT. Ok, we germans are quiet funny, I know... I'm not a painter but I, for some reason, really like watching videos of great painters, like yourself, becuz I get to learn how and I just enjoy watching these types of videos. Even tho it took me 2 nights but I still watched it all the way, from beginning to the end, so I miss them, "summer days", going camping and fishing/hunting and most of all, enjoying the great outdoors and capturing great views like this one. So, great painting man and also, thanks for sharing your tips on how to make amazing details on paintings! I'll keep that in mind, when I start painting too. I like the smell of oils. Excellent job with acrylics here. They seem chalky and dry so quick, its a talent to paint on canvas with acrylic to me.

Beautiful painting of "possible" warm days. However.....I grew up 2 miles from Lake Powell so my Summer Days since 1981 are always hot and always memorable. I'm in the 13% club and happy to be there. I watch eagerly as every leaf is meticulously placed. Thanks for sharing your knowledge, creativity and time!

I really like that you work in blocks and put in details before moving on to the next section of the painting. Many cover the whole canvas and I don’t understand the point of it because acrylics don’t blend after they’ve dried. I prefer your tutorials because they let me work in my natural style

I loved watching this as a novice to painting. Contrary to what you may feel, Ryan thank you for how much you choose to talk through the video!!! I learned a lot and it helps keep me invested 😃. My paintings started detailed because I am a detailed drawer but it didn’t translate all the way 😂. I’ve been practicing new/different colors for the more summer days effect before the beautiful vast change in fall days paintings. Thank you so much ❤✨👏🏾

Thoroughly enjoyed this excellent tutorial depicting summer days on the river. This was my first attempt at acrylics and it won't be my last. I was particularly drawn to the realistic and natural colours as quite often I find acrylic colours can look a little too saturated for me. More like this one please Ryan
