I love this video! You are very talented and your videos are quite inspiring. I loved watching you paint in miniature. I enjoy all of your journaling and planning content. I really like your whole aesthetic. It has that vintage, curated, collaged look and vibe. I've always been a fan of that type look for my journaling/planning. I've never been into the more cartoon character/cute-sy looking pages and spreads. They're nice if that's what a person likes. Variety is, of course, wonderful. But I'm so pleased when I find someone who likes and creates the same type/style of art journaling/planning. Gives me lots of new ideas and inspiration. I love your writing, it is gorgeous!! What kind of writing practice do you do with your fountain pen? Do you use a specific font? or was it something you developed over time. Any tips on how to be more free with my creativity. I am also trying to perfect things and I feel like that make my work very rigid and more like work than fun. Also prevents me from starting because I worry about the perfect medium, utensils to use, etc. I love how you just jumped in with your big brush on the mini painting. It seems very freeing.

thank you, that is so kind! great questions. i refined my own handwriting over time; i've created some exemplars/handwriting guides that are available at my website (saricastudio.com)! as far as being freer with creativity, letting go of perfectionism and preconceived notions of what art "should be" helps immensely. it's easier said than done. i think it's also important to get out of the planning and brainstorming phase because that can start to become procrastination. if an idea strikes, try to resist the urge to overthink and overplan-just roll with the idea before you find an excuse not to execute it!

new subscriber here!!! this is my 1st video and i love your style.. i also have the same style but i Don't use scrap paper. i collect news paper, cash memo,cards,unusable vintage book, and then use in my journal. i also hard draw all the boder, "washi and sticker " look with different typer of paper and ink.. cause i have no jod and i am broke 😅😅🤣🤣 btw best of luck with your future
