I have always loved the smell of snow - I remember it from when I was a kid, and now that I'm ... more mature. We also have a big park in my hometown with road after road just like this. A main road with side roads into smaller sections, each with a name. Love this painting.

My daughter lives near Vancouver and she sends me pics of her and her children playing in the snow. I live in Arkansas and was born and raised in Texas so snow is rare for me. I could watch you paint for hours. And I do. Lol

My spouse and I like to drive down county roads like your painting. When I was very young my dad would take the family for drives down " bear " roads. Great childhood memories.

Watched a lot of videos and by far u have the best and easiest blending technique-even when ur previous color has dried-I love that-I struggled with blending a very long time-until now! Ty.
@stardustgirl29043 жыл бұрын
He's using a small canvas and that makes blending so much easier, than a large canvas with more paint! I'm not the best at blending either,but I kept going and the outcome was so much better! I've used the gel medium that keeps the paint moist longer! I personally don't care for it,but some people really like it. 🎨🖌️👩🏼🎨

@@sy2.083 I've learned I have to slow down, and that's not always easy for me to do. Sitting still is a challenge for me. Everything in painting 🖌️🎨 take's a mutiqulious amount of effort. Waiting for the Canvas to dry, cleaning 🧼 my paint 🖌️🖌️🖌️ brushes, it's all time consuming. But the reward can be amazing, if you're in the zone! And that's also hard to continually be in the art zone. I wish you the best with all your art endeavors! 🎨🖌️👩🏼🎨

I am originally from southern part of Rissia, where we have much more snow then usa, and real beutiful snowy scenes like this one. This painting reminds me when my parents and I, would go cross country skiing together into the breath taking winter wonderlad. Even until now, everytime there is a beautiful snowy day, I remeber those fun times we had together as a family.

The only enjoyable experience I've had in the snow, was when I went skiing with a bunch of friends and stayed in the lodge drinking hot chocolate watching them coming down the bunny hill! I'm not a big fan of being cold! LOL! When I first started painting 4 years ago, I did several of your 10 minute paintings. Amazing how much one can learn just from doing those!

The first time I went skiing in Colorado, where I now (and have for about 28 years), I remember skiing through the trees that looked much like your painting. The snow was so deep that the only way to stop was to slow as much as possible and hug a tree! 🤪

I grew up in the southwestern corner of Germany, a few hours drive from the Swiss Alps. After meeting my Canadian husband who was an avid skier we used to go skiing in different places, often in T shirts. Then we moved to Quebec, Canada and warm sunny days in the mountains became a fond memory. 😆

The 2+hour paintings are a bit out of my league as well... try the 10 minute series... I love those as they are much more doable for beginners and you can actually make them look good. Tho I definitely don't want to steer anyone away from Ryan's channel as he really is an exceptional artist and instructor, if you find his tutorials to be just a bit too advanced, I'd highly recommend checking out Murray Stewart's channel - Mstewart painting ... he does 1hr beginner to intermediate level tutorials that are much more realistic hobbiests and non professionals... he is a bit of a character too (tho) lol.

Gorgeous! 💜 I LOVE winter, especially the trees when it´s been snowing a lot and shifts from around 0 C to really cold, when the snow is heavy on the trees, then a sweeping cold that freezes everything (like -15/20 C) then you get that wonderful icy sparkle layer that looks like a bed of diamonds that looks unreal in a sunrise or sunset :) 💜💜💜 Every sound is muffled, cold, crisp air, just the lovely sound from your shoes, everything sparkles....it´s like magic....I love walking in nature during the winter, so beautiful it hurts the soul a bit.....

Hi Ryan. A question I’ve been acrylic painting for a few years. I’ve noticed when you test your colour match, do you go lighter than the picture as I’ve had a lot of problems trying to get a accurate match as they seem to dry much darker. Love your method. Great tutorials.
