Painting Realistic Mountains with Acrylics - Paint with Ryan

In today’s acrylic painting lesson we paint a landscape depicting a large snow covered mountain. This relaxing painting tutorial is completed for the most part in real time and will cover the step by step process of how to paint rock, texture, mountains and of course how to make it all look realistic. Ultramarine Blue, Cadmium Yellow Deep Hue , Cadmium Red Medium Hue, Mars Black, Titanium White

Hello Ryan! I am amazed by how you've grown as an artist! I started watching your videos back in 2015 and I am glad that you stopped seeing how many times you could incorporate the "with that being said" line you used to like to add. It was distracting and then you had me saying it too! Hi, do you spray your canvas or palette with water?

I do not as I feel it takes away some level of control. I like to always know exactly how much water is added to my pigments and spraying the palette makes figuring it out a little challenging. Instead I frequently dip my brush in a little bit of water, then wipe off the excess. With that said, just because I don't personally like the technique doesn't mean it's 'wrong' or shouldn't be used. If you find you have real success with it then go for it :)
