I used to mix and paint 2 pack before all the health and safety became an issue and the later switch to water based paints. Reason I now have lung disease as it was a dangerous occupation we knew nothing about back then. Great vlog and for many I'm sure a learning curve , not just for the art but for how far we've advanced with technology and health care 👍

Yes things advanced so much. I remember having paint on my mk 2 escort in mid 80s. Really professional work but sadly no real protection for the paint spraying. The guy passed away still young and I remember being very shocked and sad. I send you my best.🙏💙

Top paintwork like that is an artform, won't be cheap but you pay for experience and skill. Any monkey can slap paint on but that is top top quality by a man who seriously knows his craft. Great video.

Used to do paint started painting as Fred in a shed. Hard times used to have to really flat and polish to get the dust out. He’s done a fantastic job

I like the paint process. It is very satisfying to see the end result. I spent a short time in a body shop when I was younger, things are very different now of course. One thing I will say is you wonder how some paint shops can get the colour so wrong when everything is on the screen in front of you? This car is really looking good now and with the wheels re-coated and new tyres she is very smart. Just the small job of putting it back together now :). Good job and you’re very easy to listen to. 👍 Michelin Pilot super sports are the old generation tyres and ideally you would have fitted Michelin Pilot 4S tyres which is the factory tyre if you get Michelins on your car and the improved newer version of the older super sports which were fitted to the older F series M3/M4. I know this because my dad has an M3 X Drive (Jan 2022) which he bought new and that came with Pilot Sport 4S tyres 👍

Mixing them paint reminds me when I was in the curtain trade. My boss used to make me copy McKinneys paint finishes on curtain poles and finials. They where pricey AF. Not that I got any bonus out of it. Me and the materials where a tenth of the cost of originals.

Back in the 80's I encountered this with ICI mixing system, all on microfiche. The basic colours contained so many different colours, it was hard to believe what went in. Excellent video again .
