Fab! Continue with these 15 min paintings, they not as rushed as the 10 min ones were. Thanks for all of your tutorials!

I like that your heading says "in under 15 minutes". 10 minutes, although it works for many paintings, is really not quite enough sometimes. I enjoy working on them for another 2 or 3 hours adding my own details and preferences. But ---- these are amazing tutorials to teach basic skills such as perspective, color mixing, composition and --- CONFIDENCE!!!! I have come to use them for tune-ups and confidence builders on a regular basis!!!! Thank you Ryan!!!

I couldn't agree more! I generally get to the 10 minute mark and think..I really should do a 15 minute version lol With that said, as you mentioned the goal of the 10 minute lessons is to teach the basics and inspire confidence :)

Ryan. Your voice and vocabulary is refreshing, wish I had an old flat brush. Thanks

Thank you for your kind comment! You can make an old square headed brush quite easily by peeling back the bristles and roughing it up enough to create inconsistencies.

I LOVE this one! I'm not following along on tutorials as much as I used to but still enjoy your 10 minutes paintings! I think they are an excellent lesson in building confidence and in making decisions about what to paint where and when, if that makes sense. Although of course I can pause and take all the time you want, I like working as fast as I can along with you. I find it extremely valuable. Will be trying it soon!

Thank you so much! I also feel like you can learn a lot from having to paint quickly. If we have all the time in the world we can waste days asking ourselves "Is this the right thing to do?".. When realistically we could have done it and five other things had we just painted it immediately and learned from it :)

Hi Ryan, every thought about making these 15-20 minute paintings, and spending 5 minutes demonstrating a handy technique on some aspect of each one. Such as _"this week our 15 minute paining will include some cloud and we'll focus on getting really realistic clouds in a quick and easy way"_. The following week might be another nice landscape, but where the extra focus is on say, a quick and easy way to do realistic water! ...and so on - with a particular quality focus each week. Hope others will add to this comment if they agree.... thanks. TRS

Love this one!! Can't wait to give it a try. Quick question about your patreon lessons - if you join your patreon do you get access to previous lessons or only the lessons that are currently available in the month you join?

You receive access to the entire catalog of previous lessons :)

Amazing painting Sir! Can you please guide me about the canvas or paper you use for such paintings. What kind of it? Thanks!
@RyanORourkeArtist7 жыл бұрын
I use small canvas boards for these quick lessons. They are sturdy, can deal with a good amount of water in the mixes and are really easy to collect/put away. Hope that helps!

HI RYAN, I HAVE NOW DONE 3 OF YOUR FALL PAINTINGS. THEY STILL LOOK LIKE BEGINNER WORK BUT I AM LEARNING ALOT. MY SQUARE HEADED BRUSH DOES NOT DO A STRAIGHT LINE LIKE YOURS DOES. CAN I ASK WHAT KIND OF BRUSH YOU USE? IS IT NYLON, SYNTHETIC OR SOMETHING ELSE. I THINK I WANT TO INVEST IN A BETTER ONE.THANKS AND BLESSINGS!
@RyanORourkeArtist6 жыл бұрын
I use synthetic brushes from Artists Loft, they are quite affordable :)
