At 8:24 that iconic Mk-III "Iron Armor" looks a lot like Mk-II "Crusade" Armor. Mk-III is characteristic in its heavy plating towards the front of the wearer, whereas the Mk-II has the obvious "banding" on the lower legs.
@nostear82612 жыл бұрын
Mk3 is just an upgrade kit for Mk2.
@lazlopwent79602 жыл бұрын
@@nostear8261 Mk-II was universal and early "void armor". Mk-III was specialized for close combat and boarding actions. That is why the heavier armor was placed towards the front or "advancing" portions of the armor. It is an evolution over the MK-II, but it was also more limited in use. The MK-IV expanded on the concept of total amor enclosure while also allowing greater movement. All Marks of armor are an evolution of the original MK-I. Some traits were seen as a detriment to overall effectiveness and were improved in later Marks. Some traits were a result of supply/manufacturing issues (MK-V). I fail to see how Mark-III is *just* an improvement kit for an earlier Mark. Visuals aside, the lore provides for a great deal of design and modifications between Marks.

For the thing with the two missing Primarchs: There was once a event, where Sanguinius thought to be dead. Malcador traveled to Baal and shortly before he officialy announced, that the Blood Angels shall be dissolved because of their dead Primarch, Sanguinius arrived just in time to save his Legion. If a Primarch is dead, his Legion would normally be dissolved and scratched from all Imperial Records. And because the Ultramarines got a LOT of new Astartes at some point in the Crusade, it is possible, that the two missing Primarchs are dead and their Legions were put together with the Ultramarines.

WHY, if this is set 10,000 years before the Imperium of today, do the marines have modern style bolt guns? In the days of Rogue Trader, they had much shorter bolters and even long bladed bayonets underslung. I have the same problem with modern Chaos Marines that have modern day style bolters, but they left the Imperium 10,000 years before the Imperium of today, yet have all the modern style armour/weapons, and even come in the same size as the new Primaris Marines, when they really should be the same height as the original Firstborn Marines. Still a wonderful painting video, so don't take my questions/comments to heart, it's just I have a problem with GW making a complete hash of the history of the Adeptus Astartes and the appearnce of them from thousands of years in the past.
