Thank you for sharing, I enjoyed, beautifully done. Absolutely love the handles painted over, I have a similar wardrobe and drawer dresser and have put off painting it because I always think of the handles separate. I would really like to try this. Your mixed blue is perfect.

Can I ask what was the point of 2 coats of grey as base coat? We can see it, as we did not sand it to expose it

Hello, thank you for your comment. When I use the light colors of chalk paint I always apply a white or light grey undercoat first. On the light first coat it is easier to see the other colors and it creates a lighter finish. Hoping it is helpful.

Why did you put the grey if it is never seen??

Hi, Bonny. Good question. Normally, when we want the piece to be light using the light colors or don't want the dark original color to appear when we distress the piece we can apply up to three coats of white or light grey undercoat. The chalk paint is expensive and I painted the chest with two coats of grey first which is 4 times cheaper than the other paint I am using on this project. Hope it helps.
