Taking it easy on this Sunday in the shop with painting some parts for the Honda GL650 build as well as taking in a Suzuki Intruder project that needs the carbs rebuilt. That's a nice ultrasonic cleaner.. Every time I tried to find one that wasn't tiny they got real expensive. Now I see the size I need to really fit some parts inside it.

Your free gs550 video brought me to your channel because I ALSO got a free gs550, mine being an 81 gs550T, been riding a goldwing and zx14r and its just been sitting in my basement for 6 years and although I've already rebuilt a few bikes, I just blew my bike across the basement floor out of boredom, took about 4 hours for total nut and bolt tear down, but I was using hand tools and taking it a bit slow with labeling wiring and stuff, actually purchased bars from dime city and those same tires after watching your videos because they both looked pretty good and I was going through a dilemma with the tires and not being able to find a cheaper matching set, your tank being rusty behind the emblem has me paranoid and thinking about once I finish the paint on the tank, I might use some rubber chord and glue it to the back of the emblem so it seals against the tank, keeping out dirt and moisture, just an idea, but short story long, thanks for your effort and this channel, and its fun to watch and your intros aren't loud and annoying or anything like some channels. Now I just need to find myself a seat for the bike 🙄😂

Yea this format let's people get a better idea of who I actually am and what I'm like so its win win! She was not ready for the camera at all lol. My ultrasonic is a 30l which was like $250 3 years ago. Paid for itself quick. I'm so down for tig goodies!

What are you using in your ultrasonic cleaner? Have any variations based on what’s being cleaned?

I have pretty much stuck to my same formula out of simplicity. I fill it with hot water, then about 1/2 gallon of the mean Green (doesn't darken aluminum like simple green), and some dawn soap. For tiny bits you can fill a plastic container with a different liquid and your parts to put in there as a separate item as well. Example, I use muriatic acid for brass parts like carb jets. The acid and brass go in a small sealed container and float in the regular solution but still take advantage of the heat and vibratory action to get cleaned.
