The "Sometimes I wonder how good I'd be now if I had never stopped. And it makes me a little sad" is literally me with figure skating. I had to stop going to classes when I went to school (so like 5) bc my mom said I wouldn't have time and I already didn't wanna go anyways (but that was just bc it was already boring and I wanted to go to a higher level). I still regret it to this day. But it's so hard to communicate what's important to you at such a young age and even if you could, your parents still have the last say. I actually used to like sports, I also liked gymnastics which I did later in elementary school, but the older I got, the less I was motivated for it and my body got chronic pains which I still have, the worse ones for like 10 years now. I wonder if I stuck with a sport earlier, if I'd be more healthy now but tbh I did a bit above average amounts of sports anyways idk what's wrong with my body. But anyway, point is, later on I felt like now I was too old to learn figure skating. But a friend of mine just took me to the rink a few times and he really ignited the passion again. And in my mid 20s, I started learning stuff on my own, I even took a few classes, and I really managed to learn a lot since then! Unfortunately, my pains or even winter sicknesses often lead to me not training as regularly and sometimes I was too lazy, so it's the same thing again with "oh if the last 5 years I had commited more and actually trained weekly, I'd be much better than I am now" but in the end it's just a hobby and I can still get better and learn new things in my late 20s, that's the important lesson.

I've been trying to catch up with the vods lately but this one has been so wholesome🥺 Like first off, you were some artistic prodigy back in 3rd grade- all your art works are better than anything I've ever painted in my life :") And even though you haven't been practicing as much since then, you definitely still have a natural talent for it (or perhaps you just even retained some of it...sort of like riding a bike after years?) But the way you can go through all of the steps and end up with such a detailed and beautiful creation fjdndjsn- And your grasp and understanding of color theory despite all those years that past too- Doldol would be proud to be drawn like this frrr I had a somewhat similar story but with just drawing and watercolors and this has been inspiring to watch! So thank you for the motivation! :D You should totally keep it upp🥖✨🥖

I've been coming back here lot and just replaying to appreciating just how good Kyo's paintings is, Kyo explaining stuff about art and giving some tips he learned before while painting, Seeing all the childhood paintings and knowing the story or at what grade year kyo painted each masterpiece,, , basically this WHOLE stream is a Serotonin booster for me, it all just makes me warm, comfy and happy, I would literally combust and ascend in the sky if Kyo decided to make this a weekly thing where he paints any random stuff, like it could be while watching some tips and tutorial video stuff while painting animals where Kyo and kyomies can both practice together and enjoy painting , or Like some Bob Ross tutorials where he follows bob ross painting and he can add any animals he wants at the Bob Ross landscape painting that he's gonna do, those are just some ideas I have for the hopefully next painting streams! :D ((This comment has become so long lmao))

holy fuck. maybe child Kyo's shapes were messy but he was insane with color and depth, like 24:55(flower fioeld) and 33:38 (frog between rocks), in first case you can see how flowers lose details the farther they are away, while in second one frog has reddish tummy because of the light reflecting off the rocks and frogs' own yellow! no wonder when he draws on the computer it looks bad - it's a skillset that has no overlap with his strengths! addendum: it seems like he draws with his mouse-hand, so it all makes sense edit: 37:08 AAAAAHHHH Also, *good* compositions the thing is, I've drawn for ~15 years, and the skills shown in these paintings blow me out of the water (not that I'm *bad*, but anything painting is out of my league) edit 3: I've gleaned the end - nice colors! though I won't lie, tone is strange (the elephant and background are almost the same darkness- wise). But you can see neat air/color perspective going on and the water is really pretty.
