Hi Katie, I had been feeling a bit depressed and with that I usually can pick up my brush and start to paint and I would start to feel a bit better. However I was having a painters block! I couldn't think of anything I wanted to paint. I sat down with KZbin and looked threw your paintings and found this one. I just love how these flowers are painted but just couldnt paint them the way I lliked. Then as I watched this video I went to my easel and just started. Well I have to tell you, I am so proud of myself and I want to thank you so much for making me feel Proud of myself again. This is soo beautiful, and the composition is perfect! I love it that you don't necessarily render the flowers highly realistic, but instead playing more with movements and the flow of your own hand. It's relaxing and quite therapeutic as well.

You must have been going through something, and painting this to get through it. The strokes look sad.. like inside that’s how you feel and the drips remind me of tears or Let down.. that’s my interpretation of this painting. I love it

What did you spray on the canvas after you mapped our your painting? Was it a sealer of some sort?

it was a fixative I think so that the pencil marks wont smudge

Yep! It was a charcoal fixative so the paint doesn't pick up the bits of charcoal.
