I use watercolors on occasion. I like to add them near the end of a piece like pastels. Leaving parts of the page blank is something I have a hard time doing. It's probably a hold over from being a miniature painter for 30+ years.

This is *extremely* inspiring to me, your "How a professional abstract artist ACTUALLY creates paintings"-video as well. I've never even considered doing abstract art before. Watching your videos, I find both the process itself, as well as the results immensely beautiful, and powerful. I've also taken a look at your shop (and subscribed to the newsletter). Thank you for the free Skillshare trial! I also love those Liquitiex Basics long handled brushes. I work predominantly in watercolor and mixed media, although I’ve recently started experimenting with sustainable plant-based acrylics. I love how you use your sketchbook to push things and experiment. Starting with a limited palette is a great idea.
