Honestly, at this point I can barely remember, I want to say it was vallejo model color light skin tone, but I also see some vallejo game color ghost grey as i'm painting it, but I don't remember mixing the two! The shadows were done with liquitex muted pink ink.

It's easy for creators to edit out any screw ups, but it's actually more inspirational to see how people get over their errors than to watch a flawless job from start to finish.

Thanks my man! Honestly it's how I think it's best to learn and progress with mini painting, learning all different techniques is good and all but knowing how to recover when they don't come out right would just mean another shelved project with nothing learned!

Definitely subbed! I appreciate your approach to mistakes, because a lot of new painters (such as myself, hopefully) need to know how to fix their many mistakes instead of letting frustration take over. I don't paint miniatures; but I watch a hell of a lot of it haha. Lilith statues however, are making me want to change the "not painting" part. I'm mildly obsessed with the Diablo franchise, so it seems a good crossover project to dip my feet into and kick off a new hobby.

Great video! Try using a small amount of blue-tak to help pull off and remove masking fluids.

Great video man. I have been preparing the same project myself. Lilith currently being printed. Probably slightly smaller scale than yours. Very sceptical on attempting to mask her skin like you did. Finally, which product would you recommend for this purpose??

I actually used the Windsor and newton a bit more on another project after, and the viscosity came from not shaking it enough to activate, so I'd say it's down to preference really, maskol I had less issues with shaking it up, but it did eventually expire in the pot it came in.

Nice its looks so live. I print her ^^ in my anycubic.Can u recommend me cheap good airbrush ? I'm just starting to play with figures and painting. I would like to paint mine at least similar to yours. ^^ My nightmare so far is painting the faces of the figures.

If I'm honest, the airbrush I use is the cheap Chinese non brand ones on Amazon! Had this one about two years now and only just noticed the valve starting to stick a bit, other than that it does what I need it to do.

I have been using silly putty to mask and it works much better than I thought it would.

Do you have much of an issue with it peeling off the paint underneath? Do you varnish before applying it? How reusable is it? genuinely curious! I think between the two types of masking silicone over used I prefer the thicker humbrol one, but you've also gotta wait for it to dry!

@@Thewiggleman I do not varnish and I have never had it pull paint off. You can keep using it over and over until it gets to ugly to use lol.

I have not, althought since this video i've doubled back on my initial thoughts around the W&N masking fluid, I think at the time I just hadn't shaken it up enough, and have found it much more controllable since!

@@mobuzzing1310 fortunately not! It is humbling that you saw it and said "wait a minute" though so thank you for your diligence, worth keeping your eyes on it anyways! I'm trying to figure out what people are willing to pay for what ATM, I'll probably drop the Lilith statue down soon, and my plan for my next project (when Baldurs Gate 3 releases me from its grasp!) Is to put it up for auction for £1 and see how it goes, then all the eBay money will go into more resin, a printer upgrade (really liking the look of the auto levelling Saturn 3) and into the editing gear!
