My favourite craft supplies are exactly as in the video... watercolour and fine liner - however I do love the tombow soft and hard tip brushpens

I like that you say practice makes “progress” not “perfect” since no art will ever come out perfect. It is sometimes hard to let go when I draw, like everything must be precise and angled just right. I have found I can be much more loose when I paint. I’m not very good at watercolors yet but your videos help to break it down. Your pieces turned out beautiful

I also suffer from a "stiff approach" to watercolor painting. Too often I find myself trying too hard to "copy" a photo instead of enjoying the process. This is very helpful. Thanks!

Love this style. I’m in the process of learning watercolors and this is a great tutorial for me. I’m so used to painting in acrylics that I’m very heavy handed when I paint in watercolors. I get so frustrated! I tell myself all the time to lighten up! Will try this project this weekend.

Linda Carreira Same for me! My background is also in acrylics, so I know where you're coming from

So pretty! It’s interesting that you start with the leaves - I tend to do them last. I don’t know if it makes a difference, but it was interesting to me. 💜
@ShaydaCampbell6 жыл бұрын
Totally, I think it's just personal preference. I'm probably more comfortable painting the leaves than the flowers :)

I have watched several videos on making basic flowers, botanicals...and no one addresses the type(s) of brush used...😖☹️..I think this is a very important part of it.

Shayda .... I love love this piece - I have to learn to paint with lighter colours, they are so soft and delicate ;)
@ShaydaCampbell6 жыл бұрын
SunshineLeclair Yeah, I was thinking of your last comment when I filmed this actually. It's all about adding lots of water, and then if it's too light you can always go back in later and do some wet on dry 😊
