Will Terry's was the best piece there today... can't believe that his didn't even make the top 3....but of the ones that did make the top 3, they definitely picked the best one of those for the winner

@triconcert. I loved Will's portrait too, the colours were wonderful, but I loved Sarah's painting a little bit more. P.S. Will is very young. I believe he's heading for a great future. 😍

Absolutely agree! Will's portrait was the best likeness but also unique. I know the judges are often looking for something a little out of the ordinary, and I think this was. He captured Nish's eyes perfectly, as well as the madness of his hair. I'm surprised he didn't make it into the final three, at least. Disappointing. Sarah's painting was also nice, but not the best of the day.

For me, there were two very clear standouts: Will and Sarah. I’m shocked that Will’s portrait didn’t make the top three, but I’m very happy that Sarah won 🎉

I am so envious of the talent displayed by these artists and would buy any of their submitted self portraits. It occurred to me that a television show consisting of people like myself who cannot make the connection between what I see and what comes out of my fingers might be hilarious. The winner 🏆 is WILL TERRY. The dazzling use of colors brown and black is a tour de force. The madness of the hair and perfection of the beard plus capturing the funny, gentle soul of NISH is astonishing. I'm surprised, shocked, really, NISH, not selecting it as favorite. The judges deserve a well-earned spanking for not selecting the TERRY. for at least a top 3.

In the last group I’m not agreed, the best was the guy who did the monochrome portrait that did the dark background, the other two artist didn’t have their proportions rights and the eyes where distorted and not in the right place.. very disappointed.. the 18 year old was the best in the entire competition.

Sara and Will were my favs. I love wood/linoleum prints but I thought it was a bit muddled, I thought Liams was kind of stoggey compared to Wills. But LIam’s self portrait was my favorite of all the images

That was the first time in watching this series that I’ve been surprised by the sitters’ choice of portraits. You can usually depend on the sitters to choose what ‘we’ think is the best, no matter what strange choices the official judges make. But definitely not this time.

Yes they chose the best one ,I did like Will Terrys painting of Nish Kumar too shame he didn’t get in .They say portraits on these programmes but a lot never look like the sitters yet the judges ooh and ahh about them .

Wow the first two picked the worst painting of their groups.

I love your program. However that being said I truely wonder if you missed the fact that the covid crises ended a long time ago with its social distancing measures of which we now know these where not backed by any science, so totally useless. Why do you produce this cold inhumane show in stead of the warm and connecting atmosphere you so wonderfully presented in 2020 before all the trouble started?

Would you please tell all of your artists to keep their hands out of their paint. Almost all paints are toxic and cause any numbers of illnesses. Cancer, nerve damage and on and on.
