Painting On Random Things From IKEA!

I'm painting on random things from Ikea today. I went to Ikea and found some cheap things to customize & paint on. I like customizing things and turning them EVIL, it's kind of my thing. In fact I have quite a few series where I do some cheap diys that end up looking pretty chaotic. Other makeover series that I do include Squishmallow Makeovers, Needlefelting Squishmallows, Painting on Fidget Toys, Five Below Makeovers etc. I hope you like what I made and I hope you guys got some decor diy ideas out of these customizations!

When you use masking tape for a pattern, next time try painting your background color first over the tape and then the black, I've seen it as a tip painters and decorators use to get crisp lines, it should work for your art.

I did that when I painted stripes on Sniffledorf's tea set furniture & it really did work! I didn't do it this time because I didn't paint the background color, I kept the sides the grey that the tray already was.. hopefully that makes sense 😅. Thank you though, it really is a great tip, works wonders!

You could always try nail tape for your smaller stripes, or washi tape- that comes in a ton of thicknesses.

This whole "Modern spooky" Style is giving me heavy Creature Feature-Vibes - that band would make perfect background-music for your videos :D (I know, that's not possible because of licenses). You can use the thin washy tape to get thinner lines. They have sets of I think 4 at dollar tree for $1.25. I've used it before and it works well.

Loved the Tonads. I thought you were going to paint them all kinds of crazy colors (because that's what I would've done) but you had the right idea to keep them black on the outside and only coloring the eye area so they look more like a set. I can see you doing a lot of cool graphic designs with them. Might have to go out and get some Tonads now 🦉

The tray came out way better than I expected. I'm kinda inspired.. might have to make one myself. Also for the resin, don't use uv for a project that size. Use epoxy 2 part resin. You'll have to use a vapor mask and do it in a well ventilated area. To get rid of bubbles use a heat gun and lighter. The heat makes the bubbles rise to the surface. It takes multiple hours to cure tho. Spray paint is much quicker, just not at glossy.

When doing a basecoat and it looks all streaky, try doing the little brush dab thing Bob Ross does to make trees. It seems weird but I use that method a lot to get a more even looking coverage or to blend stuff. That seems to help me! Also it's so satisfying to see the finished product!

Hey I have something to tell you! :D Ok just to be straight forward, I don't care if you make this a video or not, it's pretty much your choice! So, I have tried this and it is so fun! So all you need is cornstarch, vaseline, popsicle sticks, and food dye. So basically, you can mix the vaseline with the cornstarch with the popsicle sticks, and it's like white skin. Then you can smooth the mixture onto your hand, and then you can add green and red food die to make blood. That is how you make a fake wound! I have done this and it was so fun! You dont have to do it, but I'm just here to tell! Thank you for your time! Bye!!!
