Painting on Wood Slices! - Making DIY Ornaments!

Hi everyone, today i decided to make some fun wood slice ornaments to decorate for the holidays! these diy wood ornaments have such a fun and rustic charm they are super easy to make and very fun too. they are great to make for gifts but also good to decorate your christmas tree or just use as a tiny painting! hope you enjoy! let me know what you think in the comments below!
ART SUPPLIES USED:
wood slice rounds (found on ebay, no specific brand)
jo sonjas all purpose sealer (or clear gesso)
acrylic paint
paint pens (posca pens or artistro or whatever you have on hand)
red and white bakers twine or ribbon if you prefer

Nice. We normally don't celebrate the Christian part of Christmas as I am Muslim, but I do decorate my house and we are celebrating Christmas with fiends who are catholic. Ow yes we can do that. And we give it another meaning. We call it the feast of peace. We as in my family. We celebrate friendship and family. So we turn it in something that is suitable for us. We don't give gifts. Because that is not what Christmas is about. Beside here we have sent Nicolas who comes 6 December. So yes.. we can do that. And yes I do decorations like the ones you make. You inspired me to make some new ones. Still have some three-pieces that I can use... Happy Christmas and may we all live in peace together 🧡🧡🧡

I was so happy to see you prepare the surface! People forget about the acid in wood! Eventually your paints and most art supplies will be eaten through over time, and not that long either! I believe that these wood disks are good for many holidays! We even have some painted Up for the 4th of July! They hang just about every where and so fun to paint! I believe that you did a wonderful job with all of the scenes and coasters are another great way to enjoy these wood products!

Thanks! Im glad I sealed them too, it means i can keep them to decorate for the holidays in future years too! I currently dont have a Christmas tree because of space but in the future id love to decorate a tree with them :)

@@ScribbleFix When we lived in a small trailer we did not have room for a tree and My Wife decorated with garlands and she hung ornaments on the garlands she made from fabric's and ropes even glass baubles she used! It is a festive way to keep the holiday cheer in your home with small spaces!

I bought way too many wooden pieces. Me and my kiddos did Christmasy Ornaments, (12.) I sent some to the Art Club (30), and I drew 20 plus Raccoons for the Boy Scout troop for their Christmas trees. The boys run into and have their food stolen by Jeffreys(aka Trash Pandas) while camping. I hope when I re-find this wooden circles I've come up with more ideas. Lol!

Does that sealant protect the wood from cracking? I have this problem
