Found this little gem due to your plein air challenge this month and very helpful it was too. I really enjoyed creating this quick and simple painting of my homeland making me think Maybe I can paint outside in 'real' life. 😉

I have just read through some of the comments, I used to live in Balloch at the southern end of Loch Lomond and this certainly looks like that area, which is about an hours drive from Stirling. I now live in New Zealand, you should visit and see the spectacular scenery we have here, just waiting for your talent.

That's exactly where it was, a short drive north west of Stirling if I remember correctly. Maybe five hours south of Loch Ness. One of my favorite countries.

Thanks for the beautiful mink! Hi, Michelle! I would like to know, if possible: how long does it take to paint such a landscape live? I live in Italy, and painters in my country would be discouraged by annoying and noisy, insulting onlookers. Unfortunately in my part there is not much good education for those who pictorially express their own nature in nature. A hug and congratulations always! Rose!

Hi Rosanna, you can go to my channel and click on the playlist "Plein air" and see all the ones I've done outdoors to get a good gauge for how long it takes. Less than two hours for me. Thank you for watching and have fun painting!

So...I love your videos...but, was this Loch Lomond? My first days in Scotland were spent there.
@michellethepainter.4 жыл бұрын
Hi Linda, I'm not sure if that was the name of the lake or not, but I know it was about an hour outside of Sterling, which is where I stayed. Thanks for watching!

@@michellethepainter. I am sure it was Lock Lomond, then. :) "The Bonnie Bonnie Banks of Lock Lomond" is a favorite song, which I sang since a child. ...And I loved Stirling as well. And I loved your windmills. Your tutorials are all really so easy to follow, as is your teaching style. I have never seen someone break it down so handily, with so many successful subjects. Thanks again.

So far I like it but your canvas needs tightening It looks bad on camera spray it with some water on the back and it will tighten up
@michellethepainter.5 жыл бұрын
Hi Jenny, Since I travel overseas to do these tutorials, I have to improvise with my materials so they fit in my suitcase. My canvasses are stretched with Velcro onto a hand-made stretcher bar board, so at times the canvas may bounce a little. When I return to my studio in the states I re-stretch the canvas using the proper technique onto regular stretching bars. Thanks for the tip though! Take Care, Michelle
