To be fair, being colourblind doesn't necessarily mean you can't see colours (in fact, that's relatively rare). It just means we can't see those colours (or more specifically, colours involving those light wavelengths) _as vividly_ as if we had fully functioning cones. www.nhs.uk/conditions/colour-vision-deficiency/

As @DrawnSteelHero said, it usually means we just have issues with some shades of color. I often mix up purples and blues for example, specifically if the blue has a bit too much red in it.
