... does this mean that there are more Battle Reports on the way? The Midwinter Minis Bat-Reps are the best on KZbin: simple, well-edited, dynamic, and short enough that they never feel stodgy. I absolutely cannot wait to see more of them - especially of your 500pt games. :)
@Grymbaldknight3 жыл бұрын
@@DoubleDowner Midwinter Minis has several Battle Reports. :) Half of them are in the "Start Collecting Deathmatch" series, wherein the different Start Collecting boxed armies are pitted against each other in an arena tournament. There are also several 500pt Bat-Reps, which are standard 40k games. These aren't in any particular order or series, but are just fun, snappy games with great editing. I personally prefer the standard 500pt games, because it's fun to see what both players can bring to the table on such a modest "budget". Small games require more ingenuity, i find, and the armies feel a lot more dynamic and characterful. I recommend the Midwinter Minis "Ultramarines vs Necrons 500pts Battle Report" as a good starting point, but i cannot recommend the "Start Collecting Death-Match" series highly enough as well. Please, please watch both. :)

This is what I love about the drukhari range. They are very detailed, so you can pick out a lot of individual areas on them. However, you can just as easily paint them in a very basic, quick army painter style scheme, and they will still look great! Not many miniature ranges have that benefit, so my hat goes off to the designer (Jes Goodwin) and sculpters of this range.
@Gingerbread223 жыл бұрын
Same and thematically they would ride out with such a wild mess of colors. So skys the limit on what color themes you want to do with Drukhari. I keep wanting to buy into them just for the models. Also, speeders are so cool.

Ah yeah, I've used automotive primer for ages, since a thread on DakkaDakka I think. re: the camera not picking up how pink it is, it's because current capture technology doesn't have a large enough color gamut to capture all of the light waves. I recall a youtube video I saw years ago on this "pinkest pink" pigment and its properties.
@Numerlon3 жыл бұрын
re pink: sadly, the 'colour deficiency' of the capture technology isn't even that small. lots of really vibrant colours we can perceive are just so wonky on camera. Half of the warcolours vibrant paints fall into this category. In essence, our cameras are basically colourblind
