There’s a “rule” in design: the more pattern you use, the better they look together. The bedspreads don’t match exactly, but that’s what can make a room look interesting and lived in-it ends up being natural rather than formulaic. I totally trust Stephanie’s taste to make the finished product look beautiful. 🤩

I think the array of patterns needs more contrast. These are all too same in shapes and scale. So a striped headboard for instance in the colour scheme would work. These three fight each other.

Don't give up on the bedspread until you're done. If you agree it is too busy, you can always change it out. Lancelot, you cutie you. You always steal the show. The chapel work is going so well. I just LOVE seeing sweet little Lancelot circling Stephanie as she paints and sands...I never thought I would see a dog hanging out around her while she is working! It is so precious that you guys have fallen so in love with that adorable boy 🥰 Edited to add that I like my green beans the same way! The way my Nana cooks them is to do either bacon grease or oil in a pan, melt it, then add the can of green beans WITH the water, and then bring them to a boil and cook them a bit, then lower temperature a bit and let it all cook down until the water is gone....yummy goodness 💗

I did not know Marie was in Ashburton. Just three miles from my house! I hope she has a chance to explore south Dartmoor a little, if she gets some free time, or a quick trip to the coast. Both so different from the landscape around La Lande. The cookery school has a terrific reputation, I hope she is enjoying the course.

Not so sure about the duvet and headboard together, but the green side table is looking great. You could line the inside of the cupboard with the wallpaper as it is a traditional thing to do. Lancelot is doing well and could do some painting if he could hold a paint brush. 🙂

I agree. The bedspread makes it way too busy. The table color goes well with the head board and wall paper. Maybe just a beautiful white bedspread with colored accent pillows like the headboard.

Love the little cabinet makeover for myself I would have painted the back of the door and the internal facing plate and left the cavity the natural wood. It’s going to be stunning with everything together in the room

In America painting stores sell something called a tack cloth. It's "tacky" so it's used after sanding to make sure all the dust is removed before the next coat is applied. I hope you at least wiped it down after sanding.

The colours are all perfect now and if you get some cream accent pillows for the bed, then , if it looks too busy with the headboard, it will break the patterns from each other. Some old damask tablecloths remade into pillow covers with some light green trimmings and tassels would be divine. I cant wait to see it all finished in October when I’m booked to visit with my sister. We have followed the vlogs since the very beginnings and feel as though it is our destiny to see you all in person . We are such big fans and Im sorry we will be starstruck and may babble inarticulately. 😂😂😂❤

I have a recipe for green beans, try a couple of cut up bacon, cook till crispy, remove leave grease and place fresh green beans in pan if beans are long you can cut in half. Add enough vegetable stock just to cover bottom of pan. Cook low and slow to desired tenderness. When you add broth another delicious touch is to add cut up potatoes, allowing them to cook till tender in broth. Dish up and add back the crisp bacon and enjoy 🤗

Another viewer who's not so sure about that bedspread .If you want color to add zing, then a few toss pillows would work with a bone damask spread. Sometimes less is more. I was a interior design furnishings studio for 20 years. Eyes need space to breathe. Love the little stand. What color is the marble top? That could decide what direction to go with. ❤

You could add some wood bead cut in the corners to add some detail to the dull box table creating faux panels. Amaury could cut them for you…and just place them 3. Inches in and paint..

I totally agree with you! Too many patterns going on in the room. The bedspread is too bright & of a different era than the headboard. The chairs Stephanie showed the other day were another pattern so it is getting so busy in the room. I also feel the wallpaper is too modern for the furniture. Would be cute in a little girl's room but not a room with the beautiful antiques. You don't know where to look first. I want to see the antique furniture not the bedspread or the wallpaper stand out. I love the wallpaper, just not with the headboard or chairs she is planning on using. The bedspread looks cheap in my opinion.

I think with florals its often good to interject something in the same colour palette but a contrasting pattern, perhaps something like a sagey linen gingham would look really chic. Clashing florals can be a tightrope walk to get just right!

I have to agree with the other comments about the bedspread. It's too busy and clashes with the headboard. I'd do a solid or perhaps a pale gingham check bedspread pattern in soft neutral tones. Tres chic!

Oh my the Chapel restoration is coming along nicely. It must be a massive relief for you knowing such good people are doing it. I’m not sure about the headboard going with the bed covering, wallpaper and bedside cabinet. Take it out of the equation and everything is great. Mind you I’m no interior designer it’s just my small opinion. Lovely meal at the end of the day Laland style ❤

I think the nightstand is gonna look beautiful green. I would leave it plain without any painting leaves or stencils because there’s so much pattern in the wallpaper , the headboard and the bedspread.

Love you guys, but I concur on the bedspread with most of comments here. A solid color would marry in all the colors well. It would really let the wallpaper and headboard become more of a focal point whereas if you were to use the bedspread it may take away the features of your other fantastic work, just a thought guys.
