You’ve heard of a derby jammer- now get ready for a derby HAMMER! The Harley Quinn: Hell on Wheels Premium Format™ Figure measures 20” tall as Gotham’s maid of mischief skates her way around a neon-themed rink base, ready to take a swing at any chuckleheads who get in her way.
The polyresin Harley Quinn: Hell on Wheels Premium Format™ Figure features a fully sculpted red and black costume inspired by her modern comic book appearance, with a bustier, shorts, socks, and skates all accented with stars and diamond shapes. Using the work "talent" to describe an artist is doing them a disservice. This is a CRAFT. A skillset built by years of hard work and striving for excellence.
@TiffanyRay
@TiffanyRay 4 жыл бұрын
nobody is born with god like artistic abilities its not fucking magic, you learn and then you work and you repeat until you get good. So no artists aren't talented they are skilled anybody can be an artist its just that the majority of people choose not to do art cause they don't believe in them selves and think theyre automatically bad just because theyre not good from the beginning. Nobody starts off good you just get better with time and experience and lots of fucking practice. If people actually put elbow greese into things they wouldn't be complaining that theyre bad when they volunteraly choose not to create. unless your one of those child prodigy's who just so happen to be equipped with those advanced skillsets at a very young age then, no you aren't talented your skilled by learning and training and working. That goes for any type of work honestly

@@CollectSideshow Have just done so now. I don't know if you have previously done such a video, I am about to check but it would be really great if you could do a video on what paint, materials and tools these professional people use, I notice that particular Cel-vinyl paint for instance is a rare sort but I noticed on her glove how incredibly plasticy/volumous not sure how to express what I mean but the black texture buildup on her gloves is really interesting. From my tiny amount of research this is a paint thats unique and it looks like the only company producing it is going out of business.

Not to burst your bubbles or anythjng, but only 2 or 3 prototypes are sculpted and painted in-house, while all final products are handled by offshore manufacturers( in most cases, china). A statue done with the professionalism shown in the behind the scenes vids will cost at least triple the amount SS is charging. However, this does not mean that the offshore production teams are bad. The variation between sample pieces and final products are easliy on an acceptable level.

As long as it is sealed, you can simply take off with rubbing alcohol and do step again. It will only strip down to sealed. Not very harsh. Now if you used something denatured alcohol, would strip thru anything. Seal often and if need be after every step to be able to take off if need be and I also would use rubbing alcohol simply to clean up the line with a point brush. (round)
@mg-ThisHandleIsSoStupid

It is crucial to do in stages for other reasons, like to keep from "Re activating" the layer below. Say if you did a wash, like she does the 1st Blue one, and did NOT seal it before doing a second one, like the yellow she does, it is wet and would re activate the wash you just did, and as you aggravated it, with the sponge you would lift the old wash, and then the 2 would kind of mix together and and get all nasty. Seal and seal often.

Marriage made in heaven. Beautiful head sculpt with mesmerizing paint work. I absolutely love it. I don't do premium formats or statues. I'm into 1:6 and 1:4 scale pose-able figures and I would love this Harley in either of those scales. Here's to all you artists. Thank you so much for sharing.

I would love to know what type of paint, brushes, brands and such they use because they seem to go on very smoothly! No brush strokes or anything! Wow!

All those bottles look like Cartoon Color Cel-Vinyl which sadly stopped production last year. I've been looking for a good replacement for awhile.

Does each statue get a by-hand paint job like this or is there some assembly line style painting that goes on because it's hard to imagine 1000's and sometimes thousands all getting done like this.

By-hand paint job in China. Several factory workers are working on a piece for several days and weeks. What she is painting here is the original that comes up in the Sideshow site and the one that gets shown off at conventions.

They are not hand painting each figure out of the 10,000 sold.. She will usualy paint the main one and they will use it for reference for what the assembly line should do. They will print it colored already.

@@FellVoice I saw pictures of the overseas painting process on the Gaming Heads site at one time. The place had hundreds of arms, legs, torsos, etc in batches and each group is assigned a specific part to work on. Groups of people airbrushing all day wearing respirators.

No. These are prototypes. The actual are painted overseas and No where as good. All stock advertising and box art will show the prototype but the actual never looks as good. They can't reproduce overseas and to be honest, if all were done here like that would cost ten times as much. Typically a few prototypes are painted for overseas as masters for them to work off and "try" to match. And also maybe show off pieces in house or conventions. They always want to show off the prototypes.
