Elisha is my new favourite landscape painter in the world!!!! When she observes, she's not not looking with an illustrator's eye, it is something very special. There's a rivetting presence in every one of her works. You can tell she loves the process and approaches it with curiosity, with the anticipation that something will evolve on the canvas that she cannot foresee. That's the joy of painting.

I thought that Desmond should have been chosen instead of Alicia. Alicia’s perspective was a bit (actually, a lot) off with the two sections of the bridge almost the same size and her bridge didn’t have that open element where you could see the view through it. It didn’t look like something that could have taken four hours to paint. I think the judges chose it because of the aluminum sheet that she painted on, rather than for the artwork itself. Sorry if that sounds a bit harsh.

nah, Alicias was brilliant. Desmond is a great painter but it's all a bit too expected in a way, a style that's been seen too many times. Alicia has an extraordinary feel for the mood and when to stop painting.

WHAT just happened? The 3 weaker paintings went through and they sent the 3 more accomplished paintings home. What is with these judges???

i love hearing the crazy evaluations from the judges. Some good emperors clothes stuff. As for the artwork, as an artist, some of the stuff is definitely a "hail mary" attempt. Oh well.

I do not see why the judges chose Alicia to even get to the semi-finals, much less why they chose her to participate as a finalist. There were other contestants who were much more worthy of advancing.

Shockingly, I actually agree with the judges this time. All three are so different but engaging in their own way. The three not chosen really didn’t attract my interest.

That Desmond didn’t make the cut is entirely due to the problem of television’s interests. I’m not white, I’m Asian, so don’t accuse me of racism. But whatever, bad composition is a always a mess, and a good artist is a good artist.

I don’t get the appeal with brown paper bag painting and Alicia’s painting… Desmond didn’t win?! How is that possible 🙃 I love Thomas color palette though.. also their misjudgement in winners in early episodes are leading to underwhelming finale in this season and the next season… I love watching all the episodes except the finals for that reason…

Every last one of these pieces bite the wad, and the judges are way over compensating in their critiques because they know how hard this round of paintings suck. I'm not even going to hang around to find out how they placed because these suck so bad...SO BAD. There are usually at least 2-3 good pieces.
