Nice and tidy, now you’ve got me thinking of doing mine, my headliner is trashed thinking that carpet is the way to go...👍
@dancampion3 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate. Yeah you should do it, it's pretty easy. At the end of the day you're the only one that notices all the little imperfections anyway
@oldsailor90223 жыл бұрын
@@dancampion do you worry about condensation / damp in the carpet getting moldy?
@dancampion3 жыл бұрын
@@oldsailor9022 I'm not too worried about it. Probably because I'm inexperienced, we'll see how it goes. The previous carpet was in there for 40 years and it held up alright

It's great to see the quick transformation and the pleasure you take of putting your own stamp on your boat. I'm sure she will look after you for it ! I found that Formica was an easy covering material to stick on around areas you want to keep fresh, clean and not let the moisture soak in. I'm looking forward to the next event

Thanks Pete! Thanks for the tip, never heard of Formica, I'll look into it.

Your hard work and vision is very inspiring. That's quite a transformation from your first video where someone commented that the only thing holding it together was the bird droppings. Good job guys. I'm also working on my old boat and at times I feel like I have hundreds of different items to fix. Then one day I just decided to start at the bow and work my way back. Best regards from Detroit Motor City USA

I love this boat!! I am truly impressed!! please tell me, I have always used marine paint products when I have painted my boats. Are you just using hardware store enamel exterior house paint? Do you think it will withstand the marine salt water environment? I mean if it will work, the money I could save !!!! holly molly !!!! Wow I watched your first race video. The captains of the newer high money campaign boats must be going crazy!! with you guy's winning races!! A true diamond in the ruff... Well done!! From Charleston, South Carolina USA.
@dancampion3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Manning! Yep, we just used standard oil based enamel. It's cheap, it gets quite hard over time, it's easy to apply and the best thing about it is when you scratch it, just give it a quick sand and touch it up. Thanks for watching!
