when I painted my 12w I taped off the logo the same way and had the same reaction when I took the tape off, lol. I should have done it square also! I ended up painting over it in the end, it bothered me! check out mine in some of my videos for ideas if you'd like.

Typically when I've done this in the past paint will cake onto the stencils then bleed through after its clumped up a bit, howd you guys avoid this?

nope. it wont wash off. It my chip some if you bang into something, but we duck hunt with it and have no issues. Use a self etching primer first if your doing an unpainted boat

Derek England 2 cans of each color would be safe. We used a lot of black. You can always return what you don't use

Chris Brinson just linked them in the description. amzn.to/2tcAgae. That's basically what we used. We had one other blotch style pattern that we wanted. You can get that from the same company or just make one with stencil plastic front he craft store.

James Jennings it's not. We didn't prime at all. The boat was already Painted so we just cleaned it real good. If your boat is unpainted or in rough shape you should use self etching primer as a base coat so it will stick to the aluminum.
