I think I learned more in just a few minutes watching this video compared to what I knew before got out of other people's videos. Guess I'm going to have to pull a model out and build something

I’m glad to get a quick video on how to paint and trick up a post winter tank on the eastern front. I’ve seen Night Shift do it as well, so extra knowledge and technique are surely appreciated. Thanks Hank.

Something I notices by watching you paint with the Ammo paint; they seem to be more vibrant than there Vallejo Model air equivalent.

Wow, that was really nice and simple to do. Good job. Would you say all done in one weekend or 3 days with drying time?

Is there an advantage in using Flory wash instead of oils ?
@SpruesNBrews15 күн бұрын
Not really! The Flory just dries a lot faster since it's water-based... you can move on to additional steps a lot more quickly. Really a preference thing, but I use oils sometimes as well.

Love the KV-2, one of my favorite Russian armor. I do have a question though, I've been toying with moving away from my lacquers and on to acrylics (pure acrylics). How it in the heck do you actually get Vallejo primer to go on so smooth lol. I've had nothing but absolute horrid results from it. Maybe a vid for the future? Otherwise I might have to stick with my Mr. Surfacer and then acrylics after that (I only seem to have issues with the primer lol)
@bruhboyb381215 күн бұрын
what psi or needle size are you using to prime? In my experience it actually required a tiny bit of thinning with water/airbrush thinner even if they recommend not to for a better coat
@Chilly_Billy14 күн бұрын
Out of curiosity, why are you thinking about moving away from acrylics?
@MadGeniusProductions_MGP14 күн бұрын
@@bruhboyb3812 it was a .5 needle, thinned it a little and a few drops of flow improver as well. All acrylic primers just seem to come out splotchy for me and don't smooth out as well.
@MadGeniusProductions_MGP14 күн бұрын
@@Chilly_Billy I said I was toying with moving away from lacquers not acrylics. I'm interested in moving to acrylics. That is just more for health reasons

Why hairspray?
@Berry_MaCocknher15 күн бұрын
When you go over it with a wet brush, it reactivates, allowing the paint on top to be removed. It's used as a weathering technique.
@bruhboyb381215 күн бұрын
its water soluable so it'll reactivate and removes the paint layer above
