I'm going to be real with you I painted a handful of minis without primer, and with enamel paints and nothing bad happened. What's the deal? Still love the videos though, just thought I'd see what you thought.

It just comes down to personal preference, I think. Most models come pre-primed. At least the Nolzurs and GF9 ones that I feature on the channel. So priming again isn’t necessary. In fact a lot of my earlier videos I just go right into it out of the box. I do like what black primer does as far as assisting in shadows etc so lately that’s what I’ve been going with. Not always the best choice, such as when you’re painting a model that’s lighter in color, but for the most part I enjoy priming in black and then getting into it.
