I'd like to thank you. I was kind of struggling with my painting. And and to learn your skills made me think of another outlook. And how I see my painting and I enjoy watching your painting. I've been painting for quite some time. And I enjoy the feeling of painting and how the paint would move and come about on my canvas. I love exploring when I make different colors to make the painting. So it's been taken me months now, but it feels like it's finally shifting and move. And to see what I've been doing and I've never given up. So I thank you.I thank you so much for educating me.I'm painting trees

I have always been impressed with your attention to detail. Arts have a common language: visual. It doesn't matter what language you speak people will always understand your paintings and skills. I can only imagine that those 4 down thumbs are just pure mistakes when clicking, probably too fast clicking and not enough attention.

@@artflyer8775 An Aussie scene. That's easy, just block something in, then burn and frame - done! I love a sun burnt country, but not as much as I love air-con. Yea, 39/40 on Saturday and remember that's in the shade, it's just not practical. I'm a 56yo male and I just got back from the pool, first time in ages, it's a great facility, especially for just a small town. Back to art, if you ask at the local hardware you should find that some of their timber deliveries come with MDF as protection, which is then discarded and you know how small these boards are that Mark uses. The stuff I get from a hardware store in about 9mm - 12mm thick, but that is FINE and it is free.

If wishes really did come true, I wish my hands were as steady as yours. It’s not that I can’t paint trees, I can, but I have to use a bridge and rest my wrist on it or it comes out looking like I took a stab at impressionism. Ha ha I am 72 years young and going strong; I’m not gonna let a little “essential tremor” (as my doctor labels it) stop me. Still, it would be nice to have a young man’s hands again. Edit: I was interested in purchasing your “top up“ set of fine liner brushes but wouldn’t you know? It’s sold out. I hope you get more, because I wore out my all-time favorite liner brush and I could also stand to buy a new pinpoint round. Thanks

Question... :) I have now seen prolly few dozen of your videos and one thing still didn't notice, or maybe simply missed. When you do the acrylic layer to set the tones, do you cover that layer with something before moving on to oils, cuz of oil thinners and how would they react with the acrylic paint?
@dougg10755 жыл бұрын
Dimology I think he lets the acrylic just dry and starts painting. He never answers questions:)
@Dimology5 жыл бұрын
@@dougg1075 really, never answers...kinda weird from a marketing angle. :) I mean, I understand not answering on older posts, but few comments on new posts would actually show that there is some connection between creator and the audience. Especially if you are selling something with your work, like online course. But ok, everyone is doing it their way I guess :) Plus, ie. his Teespring merch link doesn't work, but if he doesn't read comments then fine :) But I digress, I paint only with acrylic and kinda like this mix with oils cuz I like the little details and oils seem to make that easier, so was gonna give it a try. He does say he paints straight out of tube on acrylic and than I guess there is no problem, but from what I have little xp with oils, the thinners are mineral spirit base, and even though acrylic paint is waterproof when dried, I'm not so sure about mineral spirits :) I guess I'll just have to give it a test on some used canvas I have around.....
