It is so simple! But you need to practice for several years for stage 1 to be able to use the correct colors and values for underpainting. After all, you need to train for several years for stage 2, because drawing unevenly distributed points, such as leaves, is very difficult! ) But by the way, great work as always!
@1000000trs Жыл бұрын
I certainly don't find it any where near as "simple" as it looks, or as "simple" as claimed. There appears to be a hair line joining up his tiny dots to create groups of leaves, and there also appears to be an impasto effect in most of the tiny dots, creating a texture tat implies a leaf in front of a couple of other leaves. Its very tricky to do, it sometimes seams to work right for a short period of time, then I loose it - either a couple of bristles on the corner of the fan brush have swapped places, or i pick up too much pain, or to little or at the wrong angle, of the oil paint become to thick after a while, and then after adding a medium, too thin! I think it must take a lot of practice and experience to get this right.

As always, I'm mesmerised watching this. I'm new to painting, only started mid Feb and I'm trying watercolour. I know this is not watercolour but would you still paint in the same way? Blocking, dark texture bits and finally the lighter bits. I know in watercolour it's lighter colours to dark so would it be similar only opposite way round? Lighter bits then darker?
@knightsjoker2 жыл бұрын
i think it'll be different for watercolor i imagine. because watercolor tend to mix? i guess you can apply the darker color first..then let it dry...then apply the lighter color?
@rogerthedodger57882 жыл бұрын
Watercolours are often translucent and so you cannot really work from dark to light. Some colours are opaque and you might have some success. You can mask out areas with such things as masking fluid or special tape to retain white highlighted areas. Gouache is a medium similar to oil and acrylic in that you could work dark to light.
