This is the SECOND PART of the 1/48 Tamiya NASHORN build series.
In this episode I show you the steps I took to paint this model in the iconic German 3 tone disruptive camouflage. Not only that but I take a deep dive into some of the techniques used to successfully recreate mud and weathering effects over the model.
Remember folks, this is the greatest hobby in the World and it has so much to offer us all. We are all in this together, so be sure to connect with the community and share it with your friends.

Definitely an outstanding result and one to be proud of. A small scenic base would be a nice finishing touch, they tell a story and if figures are included, add the human element that allows to people to connect (in some fashion) with the model/machine.

Great feedback. Thank you. Between you and I 😉, I’ve started on the vignette…just a little concerned the 2 week video turn around might be a stretch! They can be so time consuming can’t they! Appreciate your comments

@@workbenchhobbies4316 You're work thus far has been great and worth the wait. 2 weeks? I can only speak for myself, but I will happily wait to see it. I'm in the finishing stages of yet another diorama, 9 weeks and counting, so I definitely agree that they can be a time sink. Keep up the fantastic work, I've brought my Esky and comfy camp chair and await your next video.

Hi Clayton, Nice completion video for this project. The demonstration of techniques from start to finish serves as an excellent reference for me to apply them to my projects. Foe armour, I'm more a 1/72 person, but the techniques are equally applicable. Thanks also for scaling back on the gags....I think you got the right mix this time.....pehaps presentation, like weathering, is a process of "constant correction". I'm looking forward to your next edition. As for subjects to do next....maybe something WW1? Perhaps an AFV in a different season, like a winter whitewash Cromwell.....maybe tackle an aircraft. I would appreciate seeing the process of doing vignette work, if you move in that direction for spell. Thanks for the update.

Hey. Thanks for your comments. The best info I have for the reference image I have is ‘somewhere in the eastern front’. I’m just trying to follow the picture. The darker tones are designed to represent wet mud, but like I said, I’m just following a reference pic. I am planning on finishing this vignette in the coming months. Thanks again for joining in
