Ok .. Stephanie.. thank you again .. just can not believe how much I am learning .. when I first started out painting in the late 70’s it was very hard to find water color paints so I used food coloring and than pencil over the food coloring to make deep shadows .. it was very clean looking..

haha, wow, that's really interesting. I wonder how lightfast food coloring is

It is not very light fast but saying that if it is not in a room with a lot of sunshine or sun light it does great .. I will put some of that work on my IG page .. my art my jewelry tomorrow.. thanks

Yes I would assume not since it's meant to be consumed within a matter of days so who cares how long the color lasts. :)

Super helpful and so pretty to watch! I am sure you get this asked all the time, but what are your top five favorite watercolor brands? I know you use Daniel Smith, but do you also use other brands? Do you mix and match brands?
@StephanieLaw6 жыл бұрын
Pretty much all that. Occasionally supplemented with Winsor & Newton, and Kremer Pigments

Fandabbydosos demo Steph :) here's another useful word "radiosity" ...when light/colour bounces off an object onto another :)

I love this!!! Cant wait for more videos! Also have you considered making videos for Udemy, skillshare or (teachable.com) or something along those lines? Botanical watercolor is in high demand over there and your work would be a leap of what they are lacking.

Thank you! I'll check that out

I love your fantasy painting but I adore your botanicals. I have a birthday coming up and guess what book I will gifting to myself? :) :)

I don't have Titan buff in my palette but I'm going to have to get some. You've mentioned it so often that I begin to think I'm missing out.

I didn't think I would use it so much when I first got it, but I love it!

Hello Stephanie, I am a Cuban boy and I am a true admirer of what you are so passionate about. Please, I would like you to send me a link to one of your videos where you dedicate to paint only textures, I am very interested in knowing what you do to give textures to your drawings. A huge kiss from Cuba.

If you look back through my video log, you should be able to find many on that topic.
