Thanks SO much for this Great tutorial! Wow the granulation background is SO beautiful. Is the textures in the paint because of the Daniel Smith paint? I only get that result with salt.

Some pigments granulate more than others...she mentions she uses DS Undersea Green and a few other granulating colors for the background.

Unfortunately the 3d printer company I use no longer will do ceramic. I do have rectangular ones in plastic if you are interested www.shapeways.com/shops/shadowscapes There are some advantages to the plastic -- there's more control over the shape of the item, so these are much more refined in their shaping, and also can be thinner, so you can fit one color palette plus 2 mixer palettes into a single box.

Mostly I use fluid hot press 140 lb watercolor paper but also strathmore illustration board for wet media 500 series
