I really appreciate this comment a lot. I honestly can't stand it when someone uses the word "talented" when they talk about artists. I understand that they're trying to be nice and all, but to me, the word "talented" makes me feel like all my years of learning, adapting my style, and honing my skills weren't that much and I was merely given the ability to art the moment I was born; it's almost an insult to me. But "skilled" makes me feel like I earned my ability and all those years actually meant something. So thank you for this.

This literally drove me to tears, the paintings are just so beautiful. They look like photos from far away and then when you zoom in, there are tiny brush strokes and individual colours. They're amazing, brilliant, I love your paintings soo much. I hope to be as good an artist as you one day.

What do you mean by drafting? She got the sketch by tracing the photos, and the colors by colormatching to that specific part of the photo that she's currently painting and then mixing that exact color from those 5 original colors that she mentioned.

@@forestthree31 she uses her laptop screen like a lightbox and just traces the image. She’s not drafting the faces, which is an entirely different skill.

@@forestthree31 You mean how she traces out the light and shadow? Simply that- tracing out the highlights and shadows to make them easier to place. I don't quite get what you mean ;w; Do you mean how she starts out with the paints? As in the reason why she decides to work from light to dark and how she gets it to blend with the lighter colour? Pencil...are you asking what type of pencil then? ;w; I know art terms are difficult, but I understand why people replied with saying that she didn't "draft them out perfectly" she traced them to know where to place everything. That's all I can think about when you're asking about the pencil and "drafting". I don't mean to sound rude, btw. Just want to help you understand, whatever you're asking. :3

It's obvious that she does have an emmence level of skill- colour, especially skin colour, is very difficult to get right. And who on earth is Lucien Freud? Why would you end your comment with "this guy does that too...so..." like honestly what is that supposed to mean? Your painting process is very fascinating to me. I've always seen artists say that it's best to paint entire sections first (for example, the whole face), and then block out large portions (like the shadows) all in one go, and leave the actual rendering 'til the end, but you sort of do the opposite. You fully render piece by piece until the entire thing is completed, sort of like building a puzzle! It's honestly so cool to see~

I love the way you paint. Not the style, but the way you complete each part before moving on. It shows you have a deep understanding of colour balance, and you also have in you mind a cohesive image of shape and form and the colour balance of the subject, that you can complete each part seemingly so easily. I paint the same way, but with landscapes. I loved the painting of the Asian girl. It was a beautiful pose, and it came out beautifully.
