I LOVE how she uses primary colors & mixes her own paint. This is the way I learned as well. :) But her mixing skills are amazing.

Thank you so much for using darker skin tones
@abhinavdevulapalli16485 жыл бұрын
I liked the darker skin toned one because of the glossy effect of the lips and that there was a character to it: as in the mouth was somewhat open and so it was doing something other than just sitting on top of each other like the first one. Needless to say both were spactacular.

God Bless You Daria, You have an amazing gift one that I am in the making of improving and I can say you are not only helping me grow as an artist but also showing me the true beauty and technique in painting with oils. Your paintings make me appreciate art all over again and I couldn't be happier that you are sharing your ways when painting with the world. I have a real respect towards you, this is the only channel that has been able to help me when it comes to mixing paints, blending and even giving me tips and tricks on how to better my painting. This is your art, never stop. God Bless!

hello, i was wondering how i could prevent colors from mixing together as i apply them, because when i add different colors to my paintings, it would mix with whatever color is underneath since oil paint takes a while to dry.
@AshleyEyler7 жыл бұрын
When working with oil if you want to layer you can use really thin layers that dry fast to work up color and layering different colors, Also using a type of thinning oil like Liquin helps the paint to dry faster. You can mix it in with your paints so you can target it to certain areas, or cover your canvas with it. This speeds drying time to hours rather than days.
@squidwardsquarepants67157 жыл бұрын
Oil really is kinda meant for being able to paint ala prima and isn't really meant for layering in the way you're talking about. I would probably suggest trying acrylics.
@isabelmayes5647 жыл бұрын
Summy Bummy i think most classical artists would disagree with you there! Biut i agree that if you want to work quickly (hours not days) then acrylics is a better way to go

MS. DARIA, THOSE TWO EXAMPLES WERE SO INCREDIBLE, AND YOUR PAINTING DEMONSTRATION SHOULD BE FAIRLY EASY TO FOLLOW. I AM CURRENTLY STRUGGLING WITH A PORTRAIT OF MY 4 YEAR OLD GRANDDAUGHTER, AND WORKING THE DETAILS, SUCH AS EYES, NOSE AND MOUTH ARE CAUSING ME PROBLEMS, BECAUSE I DID NOT PUT ENOUGH EFFORT INTO DEFINING THE FORMS WITH THE CORRECT VALUES. HON, I HAVE SOME ADDITIONAL CHALLENGES; I AM 30 YEARS, USArmy, RET., DISABLED FROM 4 COMBAT TOURS, BUT, ANOTHER SERIOUS ISSUE DEALS WITH ME BEING COLOR-BLIND. MY PROBLEMS ARE IN THE RED/GREEN RANGE. WHEN I AM PAINTING, I NEED HELP WITH THE COLORS AND MIXING. I AM TRYING HARDTO LEARN AS MUCH AS I CAN IN WORKING ON PORTRAITS. I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO YOUR OTHER VIDEOS, MSG Leum
