You're a brilliant, gifted artist and I agree with this you spoke of concerning individual worth and perception. Both my youngest son and I are artist. His biggest hurdle was to create something he absolutely adored and come to find little agreed with him in the online world. I told him he didn't begin the journey for anyone other than for himself and to take into account we're all different and he should work on the best "Him," and things would fall into place. I love watching and listening to you. TY

The way you create from just a single stroke is mesmerising it is pure magical manifestation fluid alchemy is what I'm seeing. I was looking to see other painters for some tips of processes and you were the first that came up its so so good I thought I'd put my brushes back . But It has spurned me on.❤

@@MiggyCrashno predisposition can take you this high, it only starts with predisposition. Later you need extend it to a habit and hours of spending on your craft. And the success achieved in the end is because of the willpower, patience and willingness to continue, and after all not giving up. You can have predispositions but without those 4 things I mentioned earlier you just wont go far

Speaking on what you mentioned... I make my living as an artist and used to care about comments and social media response. I made a compulsive decision to delete my social media and while I thought it was a necessity for my job I've never been happier. It's been 3 years and I'm extremely lucky to still be successful and do what I love and now I don't have the pollution of social media influencing my art or mental state. I still use KZbin for inspiration, like I get from watching your videos 😊 but eliminating IG was the best decision I've ever made. Keep up the amazing work and thanks for your insight

Thank you Daria, I love this kind of 'interaction' with viewers/students instead of just a demonstration. There's always so much to learn and ways to improve. Your use of soft, undefined edges and careful tone mixes give your work a wonderful quality. Have you ever painted portraits on a mid-toned ground instead of white? I always look forward to a new video from you, thank you for taking the time!

Thank you very much! This is actually not a white surface, I usually paint on neutral grey surfaces, it’s just hard to see on the video and with such bright lighting :) I experimented with this before and tried painting on darker surfaces as well. It was better in some regards but more challenging in other ways.. Thanks again! I appreciate it

I just started oil painting, bought my first set of oil paints, oils and a new brush set but as soon as i started first i used wrong paper, then i tried painting on canvas but couldn't figure out the ratio of oil and the paint and i was getting frustrated why my oil paints were not turning out similar to the beautiful paintings and reallygoing mad, i searched tons of videos and thank god i found your!

I love your work because the colors always look so clean and beautiful. They are so warm, but still not overly bright. Compared to yours, my shadows are too neutral, or even bluish. I am going to try and remember that brown color shadow and and use it. You are a wonderful artist, the best. I can't imagine that you would want to alter a painting after someone criticizing it.

This is beautiful. Not just the painting, which it is, but the whole essence of the video. I came to the video at such a good time, I feel. Lately I'd been getting worked up about my posts not gaining much attention, likes and comments but then on the other hand, I also did not want to follow the numerous trends and reels and whatnot to get likes. I like drawing and I do not care if it's just 5 people liking it. That is for my own peace of mind, for my growth and my enjoyment. I'm so glad for this video ❤

My first time here. Great work! I like how you start with some detail to make it interesting more quickly, which sort of breaks the rules. Most recommend roughing out shapes and holding off on detail while you build up tones. I would lose interest pretty quickly that way. You've figured out how to do sort of both at the same time, you keep the FUN in with the fundamentals. And using different brushes for different color tones is brilliant. It just makes so much sense. I'm just trying to start but I feel like I have a much better idea how to proceed in a way that I may be able to stick with now.

Thank you! Yes, for many paintings I basically transfer the “key-points” (with transfer paper) and then I finish the outlines by hand with a pencil. It serves as sort of a framework for the painting and it saves me some time if I do it this way. However you can’t fully rely on this sketch throughout the whole painting process (because as you paint the lines move and shift) so you have to constantly refine and revisit it, make sure that everything is in the right place and that you get accurate sizes and proportions!
