Grey winter Oil Painting - 2 Color Painting on a 24x36 Inch Canvas

We're gonna need a bigger boat...I mean brush. And you better carve out some time. I took a cue from Martin Scorsese and really amped up the length of this video. Based on one of Bob's with changes using only a mix of burnt umber and prussian blue for a greenish grey and white.
Seriously, sorry it's so long but I painted it because I wanted to paint. Figured I would record it in case any of you are seriously bored or perhaps need a sleep aid. Or, if anyone wants to purchase the painting you can go here happytreesart....

Just had a go took me nearly 7hrs your 2.1/2 is nothing, that is so hard to get the snow to break on the mountain you make it look so easy bram , I had respect before but wow it’s not as easy as you make it awesome 👏🏼

I tried making trees with a knife.The trees are great better than with a fan brush.Congratulations master.I already tried the same thing once and it didn't work.After this video I did it.++++++++

Didn't you give us an email to send paintings to in one of your videos? I used your giant moon technique and I am shocked by how easy it was, only I painted the moon in white & Grey acrylic on black canvas, but your videos have helped me become an actual artist! What name brand of canvases do you recommend? We bought some cheaper ones from Michaels craft store and they are real slick, no teeth to grab the hightlight color on mountains, it will not break for us.

I prefer Sunbelt Manufacturing canvases the best but they can be pricey due to shipping charges. Michaels level 2 and 3 are my go to when I don't have sunbelts. This one is a michaels level 2 canvas.

I can only afford the cheap ones from Michael's. But I wipe most of the paint off the mountain base before doing the highlights. And I use Windsor Newton titanium white which is super thick. So far so good but I agree that it could be a bit better. I figure for a beginner I'm not going to spend any more than I have to because I'm already in over 400 in paints and brushes and easels 😆 oops! Lol

watching you paint the first mountain. When I try to add more white paint it just smears and I get mud and very thick layer of paint. are you adjusting the paint with a medium?
