I was grateful that this video was posted this semester. The information on testing for assumptions was very helpful for my research proposal paper!

Firstly, the sound quality is MUCH BETTER on the newer videos! Thank you! Secondly, I chose to watch this video as yet another method of instrument comparison. Also, I'm curious about assumption testing, such as Tukey's or Scheffe's.

This was very understandable and I was able to follow along without any confusion about the data.

Hi Dr. Grande. Best video Ive seen for SPSS! My question is why did you use pre-post and not post-pre for the difference?

Thank you. This was very helpful in understanding paired samples and how to transform and create a new variable.

Hello, Dr. Grande. When we're in the presence of Paired continuous samples, but the third variable called "difference" is not normally distributed (e.g., both Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk normality tests showing p-values even less than 0.01): (1) Is it meaningful to use this Paired-Samples T-Test?; if not, (2) Is there a non-parametric test in SPSS for paired -continuous- samples? Thanks in advance.

Greetings, Could you please recommend me what test or procedure I should follow in a case where there is one single group subjected to 2 experimental treatments (teaching methods for vocabulary acquisition) evaluated in two times (immediate test and delayed test). Assuming that in both treatment process (teaching methods for vocabulary acquisition) the sets of words are different but with the same degree of complexity? I need to compare the means difference between both methods and determine which teaching method contributes to better gains in regards to retrieved/recalled words through the time. Thank you,

I wonder if the tables didn't show normal distribution can you predict that the results would lack significant a between to pre test and post test.

Please explain why the values which tested for normality is the difference of pretest and posttest ? Why not each of pretest and posttest data should be tested ? Please explain and the references of the theory ?

Could I do a paired samples T test with n =6 pre and post even when normality test shows that the data are normally distributed?

Hello! I have to compare dyadic traits so I calculated a paired-samples t test. I am searching for similar traits in partners, so I have to look in the second table, isn`t that true? What`s the name of that correlation?

My Shapiro-Wilk came out as .314 on the difference data. So it's not statistically significant, why does that suggest the data IS normally distributed?
@bhaswatiadhikary42964 жыл бұрын
sir, my sample size is 1080 and distribution is positively skewed, can I still proceed with the paired-sample t-test? The data is about total household healthcare expenses in a year
@statisticsmeh34274 жыл бұрын
hello sir, Could you please clarify me that there is any relationship between mean value and p-value when we interpret the result using t-test. because, for me there is one calculation that the difference of mean is only 0.5 to 1. but my p-value gives the result that i have to reject the null hypothesis. so that i am little confusing about how to interpret my data.

What should we do with the data if the assumption of normal distribution of the difference variable is not met.
@DA-sj2gw8 жыл бұрын
Then we have to do either a Wilcoxon signed ranks OR Sign test

What test should i use to compare the effects of 3 different drugs on variable outcome (both pre and post test) Groups: "Drug A" "Drug B" "Drug C" Test: Pretest and Post-test
@najihahzakaria87015 жыл бұрын
@Thomas Eipe if im not mistaken, I think you should use anova because ttest include only 2 groups, if 3 and above you may use anova or other instruments that use 3 groups and above
