Pairing Oticon Hearing Aids to Android Phone

Thanks for this great video. I have an Oticon opn 1 , and Android Galaxy Note 9 , I can use Oticon App without issues in my Android. this app doesn't allows to stream directly. I can pair my hearing devices with Apple phone or table and stream directly. I would like to do the same with my cellphone Sansung Note 9(operation System 10) but I can't pair them. Can you do a video for Sansung phones (ASHA feature) so people that has not Apple, can stream without connectclip accesory. I guess the pairing start when I open /close the battery compartment, but when I scan in my phone for bluetooth devices, it doesn't appear. . thanks

I'm sorry I just came across your comment and hadn't seen it previously. I see you are referencing a Samsung Note 9. I checked the Oticon Compatibility guide, and at this time, the Note 9 is not listed. That is probably why you are not seeing on your list Bluetooth devices as the phone is scanning. If you happen to get a Samsung on that is on the compatibility list, you are approaching it correctly by scanning for the devices. www.oticon.com/support/compatibility

Hi I've just got a pair of Opn s3, I've gone through exactly what you've done and the heating aids are showing up in the app and in android Bluetooth settings. But they don't stream music from my tablet. My tablet has Bluetooth LE as standard. Have you any suggestions?

Good afternoon, It would depend on your tablet. The Oticon Opn is made for iPhone and Apple products, but it does not work like standard Bluetooth connection for streaming.

@@allisonaudiology Thanks for the quick response. My tablet pairs with the oticon app but then doesn't stream. This seems a bit poor, is this expected?

@@mickleblade Without seeing it to troubleshoot, I would recommend talking with your hearing care provider. You should be able to take it in so they can pair for you. The only other thing to trouble shoot... Have you made sure your phone Bluetooth is turned off so that your tablet can take over the Bluetooth connection? Without doing that, the aids will not know which Bluetooth source to connect/stream to if both tablet and phone are in close range.

My Oticon more1 hearing aids disconnect from my android phone, so I looked here for advice. The first page about pairing does not appear on my app. What am i doing wrong?

Good evening! It could be a number of things from battery level on the aids or phone, to a compatibility issue. This is the link to see if your phone is listed as compatible. That would be the first place to start and then rule out other issues from there. I can say that we've seen an increase in connectivity issue across the board with technology in recent weeks with various updates. www.oticon.com/support/compatibility
